Forrest Gate Masjid is also a masjid who i feel has better services then either Masjids Umer or Quba.

What i would like clarify is that Quba and Noorul Islam (and other similar masjids like for e.g Palmers Green Masjid) run as a single entity that has schools, social services etc all run via the masjid itself. The Quba area community has done it differently the Masjid, the next door Muslim Community Centre (NLMCC), the Muslim Housing Association (NLMHA) (which was also next door for decades till they moved to more appropriate office last year), the Islamic boys school (Tawhid) also on same road and the girls Islamic school (Tayyibah) just down the road = all run by the same local community which started with Quba as its foundation. So if we're comparing the Community with Noorul Islam than it's an interesting comparison .....

Alhumdulillah, Jazakallah.

With this, there may be others who can/will contact Admin to also have this service that benefits many muslims.

Some people out there would never contact a particular Masjid to ask them anything due to competition, showman ship, self respect etc.

Well done.

asalaamsww,

wrt to my comment earlier about judging book my cover - madina masjid in hackney. the masjid has no online presence, no live streaming, no flashy website, dont advertise any of their events on online forums like this and other sites BUT go to their monthly talks (every last Sat of the month after Esha) and its PACKED out. brilliant speakers and large diverse crowd. By no means a brill or even good masjid to whats needed in this day and age but theyve defi come along leaps and bounds over the past 12 month since they started their monthly talks. they also have a monthly sisters talk (last Sun of each month 11am) though ive no idea how large a crowd and engaging the aalimah speakers are ...

MashaAllah looks like Selwyn Road Masjid are also heading in a good direction
www.selwyn-masjid.org.uk/

Live talk on right now too via MSNS (on their homepage on the right)

if only upton lane followed these Masaajid. Maulana Saleem Nawab's talk right now is so interesting. So many people missing out on it because they just don't set up live streams although they have all the technical things set up.

1. If Maulana Yasin is suggesting they should go on MSNS, then it means that this Masjid must have SO MUCH to offer.

2. You mention yourself that they have Bayans etc very often.

3. Most Masjids have scanners, but they can not reach out to those out of their region.

4. The advantage of (I wouldn't say "Following them") setting up this service is that others can hear the very same bayaan (talks) nearly every Friday after magrib also hadith most Saturdays from anywhere in the world. Now wouldn't you like to let others have the chance of listening to the great stuff you listen to?

That's why!
