Babar Ahmad is a British Citizen who has been detained in the UK for 7 years without trial fighting extradition to the USA under the controversial no-evidence-required Extradition Act 2003. In June 2011, the Houses of Parliament, Joint Committee on Human Rights urged the UK government to change the law so that Babar Ahmad's perpetual threat of extradition is ended without further delay. Since all of the allegations against Babar Ahmad are said to have taken place in the UK, we call upon the British Government to put him on trial in the UK and support British Justice for British Citizens.

With under a month to go, and 70,000 more signatures left, we should all take this as a find stand and strive to help our brother the most we can insh'Allah.

Where's your post about how you forwarded it instantly and signed the petition too?

I have to admit that I received this email about 4 times and I still didn't sign the petition until I read your post.

Another member told me you edited the post when it was that post that made her sign the petition too.

If you feel it's boasting a deed then you're wrong. One is doing a deed FOR someone which is the minor form of Shirk and against Ikhlaas. The other is to mention something that'll encourage others to do it and I think that's what the above post was.

Just receive this as a text, thought I'd add it here.

Three men were competing to see who was the cruellest.

The first one attacked a man beating him until he was bleeding and couldn't stand.

The second man saw him in this state and stamped on his hands and face over and over. He then turned to the other and said, "No one can be worse than me"

The third man replied, "No, I am worse because I just stood by and watched."

In this example, the first man is the police of the UK. The second is the justice system. The third man are the Muslims (more like general public) of the UK who stand by and do nothing. And the the victim here is Babar Ahmad

This will be a huge fail from the Muslim amongst the other hundreds of failures if we do not reach 100,000 votes.

Getting 100,000 youtube hits is easy for Muslims and comedy videos but this.... we just let it slip by

please sheikh can you put a banner up on the home page. It would be nice if you can put it up on every page until the 10th of this month may Allaah reward you.

I was very happy to see it on every page on islamicawakening may Allaah reward them.

mashaAllaah there are more than 20,000 visits on this forum everyday. If everyone was to sign the petition we would almost make the required 100,000.

Imagine if you were in the brothers shoes, how would it feel if not even a small percentage of muslims helped you?

Alhamdillah yes there are many visits but the petition is only for UK citizens so that cuts it down too.
