This is just a reminder to me and my brothers and sisters in Islam.

When I was on holiday, we planned to go on a trip to the water park. (designed for Muslims in a so-called Muslim country).

My main concern was Salah, where could we pray etc. Alhumdulillah all facilities were there but never used by the public.

Anyway, on the way there every body was so excited and enjoying them selves in a manner not suitable for Muslims. So I stopped everyone and said let me tell you a story.

I started the story based on the family day out.

www.muftisays.com/blog/abu+mohammed/235_26-03-2010/family...

I didn't want to spoil their day, but had to give every one a reminder.

The coach went silent, I had spoilt the mood, but then everyone understood and Alhumdulillah we all enjoyed ourselves.

Salam,

Get together, exchange gifts to all the children (help them forget birthday parties and other western commercial holidays and Bakwaas) - that's what we're doing.

For small families, a day out sounds good.

Better yet, what if you asked the kids what they want? Share their ideas here too

Maulana, that's exactly what I've been doing for years.

When its my daughters birthday, she goes round telling everyone that we don't celebrate birthdays, Allah paak only gave us two celebrations. The two Eids.

Two Eids is better than one birthday. Double gifts.

so true brother abu mohammed and brother yasin. two eids better than one bday which means two gifts alhamdulillah. This is what I tell my son. Since he goes to nursery he sees children celebrating their birthdays . so he comes and asks me mama where is my gift . So thats when I tell him Allah does not like celebrating birthdays and I load him with toys (esp cars) on both the eids. I take him to play area on eid so that he can enjoy himself to the fullest.. I take him to malls where they have prayer rooms as well so that I too can offer my salah on time .

Nice find. I wasnt aware of this. The question is, when was it planned? Close to Ramadhan? Did they contact Masaajid or Islamic organizations? Then again, maybe it's a good thing, if all the Muslims invaded Alton Towers when opened to them, even that would blow up in our faces making it look like Muslims dont mix and don't socialize unless amongst themselves as well as more lies on how the men deprive women and children etc. So all in all, probably a good thing. Maybe something on a smaller scale.

Did they agree to ban music on all rides? Maybe this should be a new topic before someone posts the following rule to me:

music, gambling and alcohol banned for the day far as i knew....

They probs did not contact masaajid as 99.9% masjid couldnt really give a hoot i.e. as useful as a legless footballer.

I guess it might have probs been a salafi org

Allah knows best.
