Asslamo Allaikum,
For the last 10+ years I have translated, wrote and discussed the issue of moon sighting (in Saudia) with various people and have discouraged people from insulting Ulama & Mashaykh. However, the situation in UK has reached such a boiling point where Ulama are openly being lied about and slandered in order to promote Saudi Sighting and dubious prayer times.
Academically, this may or may not be a difference of opinion and Ulamah have the right to disagree BUT nobody has the right to lie, slander, make accusation and spin matters to promote a position. In this thread we will discuss the doings of Hizbul-Ulama & Shaykh (Maulana) Miftaahi (RA) with references from their site. I request anybody who is “Pro-Saudia” to read with an open mind OR better send a link to Hizbul-Ulama & Shaykh (Maulana) Miftaahi (RA) to put their pint forward.
Most of this won't be my work but work of Ulamah who have addressed and discussed these with Hizbul-Ulama & Shaykh (Maulana) Miftaahi (RA) and requested them to correct their statements with no avail.
