InshaAllah I will get the calendar as proof. I can't add it at the moment. But please read this in the mean time.

Eid Ul Fitr Declared on Tues 30th of August in Saudi Arabia

Eid ul Fitr Declared on Tuesday 30th of August in Saudi Arabia

"Do not fast unless you sight the crescent, and do not break your fast till you sight the (following) crescent." (Al-Bukhari, Vol. 3:130)

Wifaq have been reiterating from a long time that Saudi Arabia follows a predetermined calendar. This has resulted in the months of the year being fixed. Checking the record of the past 6-7 years for Ramadhan and Eidain would have made this point very clear to those who are willing to understand the truth. But unfortunately the Central Moonsighting Committee (Hizb ul Ulama, Jamiat Ulama) have to date refused to accept this fact. The scanned copy of the Ramadhan timetable of the Holy city of Makkah clearly proves that what wifaq have said all along is the truth. If witnesses are sought on Monday the 29th of August 2011 it will just be a formality. A brief glance at the timetable will tell you that even the timings of the 30th Fast are missing! And notice the little note at the end: Eid ul Fitr will be on Tuesday the 30th August according to the taqweem of Ummul Quraa!

Need we say more?

Makkah timetable FIXED 29 DAYS

Astronomical data is very clear that there is no Hilal sighting possible in Saudi Arabia on that day, but as the day of Eid has already been fixed, that is the announcement we will hear. So now the question is: will the Central Moonsighting Committee continue with its anti Shariah stance and lead the masses to miss one obligatory fast and celebrate Eid ul Fitr 2011 on the 30th day of Ramadhan ul Mubarak?

Have we not been instructed by our Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam to celebrate Eid only after the Hilal of Shawwal has been sighted?

Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: "The month (can be) 29 nights (i.e. days), and do not fast till you see the moon, and if the sky is overcast, then complete Sha'ban as thirty days." (Sahih Bukhari)

One needs to be very aware that this timetable was printed well before Ramadhan ul Mubarak. Ask your self these important questions:

1)    Can 29 days for Ramadhan be declared in Sha’baan?
2)    Can Eid Ul Fitr be declared in Sha’baan?

The answer is clearly NO. Then why are people of UK being made to blind follow a calendar that is doing exactly that?

It is now time for the people to rise up and face the truth. Stop this farce. Stop celebrating Eid ul Fitr in Ramadhan and missing out on that very last fast of this blessed month. Stop spoiling the I’itiqaf of thousands of innocent Muslims by making them miss one whole day.

This hadith is regarding shabaan not ramadan. in your post.

Jazakallah.

But, are you implying, Ramadhan can't be used with the same rules?

Admin, shall we lock the topic?

InshaAllah, as mentioned, the new topic will start soon.

As for the Qadha fast, what if it was Eid today and all those who fasted, they would have commited haram.

Lets not forget, the Hanafi rule of global sighting!

When is Eid? Debate is on
By MD HUMAIDAN | ARAB NEWS

Published: Aug 26, 2011 23:45 Updated: Aug 27, 2011 00:05

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia's Supreme Court has called on Muslims in the Kingdom to look for the new moon of Shawwal on the evening of Monday, which is the 29th day of Ramadan (Aug. 29) and report the matter to the nearest court if any one sights the new moon either by the naked eye or with help of lenses.

The court directed that the lookers for moon join the committee for the purpose in each region.

The end of fasting and the day of Eid Al-Fitr are decided by the sighting of the Shawwal moon.

But astronomers, who differed on the start of the holy month of Ramadan based on astronomical calculations, are at it again. They are now debating whether Eid Al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month, will fall on Tuesday or Wednesday. The controversy over the start of Ramadan is also driving the debate.

The Saudi Astronomical Society expects Ramadan to be 30 days this year and, if that is the case, it will end on Tuesday, Aug. 30, with the Eid falling on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The society said the moon would not be sighted on the night of Monday, Ramadan 29 (Aug. 29) thus Eid would not be on Tuesday.

Chairman of the society Majed Abu Zahra said the moon, on Monday, Aug. 29, will set before sunset so no one would be able to sight the crescent. He explained that on that day, the moon would eclipse in all parts of the Kingdom before sunset by at least three to six minutes thus making it impossible to sight the crescent.

He said on the night of Tuesday, Aug. 30, the moon would be clearly seen without the help of telescopes thus indicating that the Eid would be next day, Wednesday Aug. 31.

Abu Zahra said there were two options before the Saudi authorities:

l To make Tuesday (Aug. 30) the first day of Eid with people fasting for 29 days according to astronomical calculations.

l To make Wednesday (Aug. 31) the first day of Eid as the moon would be seen by the naked eye on the night of Tuesday.

Locking I can leave to you. If you feel it has served its purpose and keeping it open will only create Fitnah then yes, closing would be best.

Also, as daywalker said, with the new topic, these will probably not need any more input
