SubhanAllah, did the hospital keep the bodies for post mortem. It's been days since the incident took place. It's amazing what they had kept the bodies for so long for.

May Allah give the family sabr.

UK Riots: True Reality -

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatu

These past few days the world has seen unprecedented actions of thuggery and looting perpetrated by a segment of the British society.

From amongst the victims of these criminalities were three young British Muslim who were mercilessly mowed down whilst protecting their community .

Shaykh Zahir Mahmood gives us an insight of the true reality behind these violent riots from an Islamic perspective, and how Muslims should always enshroud themselves with higher values and morals even in the face of reckless barbarism.

As-salaamu `alaykum,

i have heard that the `ulamaa have been working to try to get people not to get involved in the riots due to the criminal behaviour of many of the people involving themselves and it is also my understanding that islaam forbids jihaad ut-tolab without a khaleefah and only allows defence of our lands, selves and people and property without a khaleefah due to necessity in protecting such. However, it is true that there remains not a single land in the world which abides by the sharee`ah of allah, so technically there is only jihaad ut-tolab left because a khilaafah has to be established somewhere at some point in time. I'd be interested to know what the scholars have to say about this. Anyway, the muslim lands are still the priority, i would assume, to free from oppression and begin a khilaafah and so i would never pay great importance to the claims of groups such as "al-muhaajiroon" (who, might i remind you, believe everyone who follows a math-hab is a mushrik and therefore a kaafir "because he worships the scholars"); who are evidently extremists and very misguided in jurisprudence as well as in `aqeedah. Extremism is something we, as muslims, in particular as people of the sunnah as well as the book of allah, should strive to extinguish as best we can, for it seriously affects one's eemaan (faith) to be of extreme views and it eats away at one's eemaan bit by bit until one has none left and a black and sealed heart.

On this note, i forgot to add, there have allegedly been some quite serious attacks on muslims during the riots and even numerous murders of muslims and the rioting atmosphere has definitely been a means of these people mustering up the courage to commit such acts and so maybe there should certainly be some muslim vigilante groups to deal with these problems, as the Police are a total failure (not always their own fault, to be fair) and in the English common law system lawful excuse exists in such cases for many actions which would not otherwise be permitted by the law (nor by legislation - and there is a good reason i have made a clear distinction between the two).
Do your research on the relevant laws and legislation you'd need to know off the top of your head in order to do things by lawful excuse and be wise. There are actually many laws and quite a bit of legislation that allow for us all to exercise certain things by lawful excuse which we have - most of us - been lead to believe are absolutely forbidden by the law and unacceptable in any case whatsoever.. do your research and you will be quite surprised what you can actually do in times like this where things are getting very destabilized and unsafe on the streets.
The major problem here is the fact that most of the Police are extremely ignorant to the law, as are most of the judges today, and they just deal with you in whatever way they see fit no matter what you can prove to them and no matter what your source of evidence is. However, make no mistake that Sir William Blackstone is definitely an authority of English law jurisprudence and has never been challenged in matters of the English law nor rivaled in history as an English law jurist and his books are taken by the English law system as though they are absolutely free from error and/or misjudgment in any matter and so they should stand as a solid evidence in your support in an English Court. But the Courts are absolutely corrupt to the rotten core these days. I myself have had one of the most senior judges in the land, the senior judge of the High Court in Holborn, London, stunned at my ability to destroy one of his Court Orders with a point of logic right in front of his face and he even admitted i have got him on that one but still claimed i would be arrested if i went against the Order - despite the fact the Order remained worded the same as when i had pointed out the major flaw in it and correctly stated that i had no obligation to act according to this Order and he admitted it on the record. So don't ever expect true justice in the Courts here. To these men, Justice (notice the capital "J") is a statue of someone they take as a "goddess" outside the Crown Court. She holds a balanced scale in her left hand (because it doesn't denote justice at all, hence it is in the left hand and it is balanced on the zero point) and a sword in her right hand (which denotes the Court as a war ground, and there are even maxims of the law that reveal this fact too).

Very interesting points. When you say "Muslim vigilante groups", what do you feel Muslims should be doing?

Do you really think Muslims are Islamic or knowledgeable enough to act according to Islam in groups? I've seen the Muslim youth, I've seen the Kuffar youth and the truth is, I don't see much difference. What can guarantee that this would not turn into the exact same thing that was being fought in the first place?
