WHAT AN EXCUSE

Quote:
The clock reflects a goal by some Muslims to replace the 127-year-old Universal Time standard - originally called Greenwich Mean Time - with Makkah Mean Time.

At a conference in Doha in 2008, Muslim clerics and scholars said Makkah time is the true global meridian. They said Makkah is the center of the world and that the Greenwich standard was imposed by the West in 1884.

Youtube Video

For those who watch Taraweeh on TV, be pepared to see disco lights and the countdown clock rather than the beautiful Ka'bah with words of Allah being recited.

Tallest Building in the World?

'The structural engineers at Hyder Consulting have announced that they are planning what will be, by an overwhelming margin, the world's tallest skyscraper, coming in at double the height of the Burj Dubai - or very nearly one vertical mile. The firm has "confirmed that the tower would be located in the Middle East region," we're told, "but would not give any further details."

It may be built in Jeddah and the name maybe The Mile High Tower.

During the Adhan, 21,000 lamps on the highest point on Makkah Clock send brilliant white and green lights to the sky; they can be seen from a distance of 30 kilometers. The lights indicate the beginning of time for prayer, especially for people with special needs such as those with weak hearing and those far away from the Grand Mosque.

(Surely this will be consideredas Bid'ah)[/quote]

My first comment was a query.

The second comment was also a query. That's why I said it sounds like you have an answer.

But lights. Paganism! This too is a query

1) It is proven in Saheeh Muslim in the hadeeth of 'Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah have mercy on him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, when Jibreel asked him about the signs of the Hour: "When you see the barefoot, naked, destitute shepherds competing in the construction of lofty buildings." Ibn Rajab said, commenting on this hadeeth: What is meant is that the lowest of the people will become their leaders, and their wealth will increase, until they compete in building tall buildings, and adorning them.

2) Abu Dawood (448) narrated that Ibn 'Abbaas said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "I have not been commanded to build lofty mosques." Ibn 'Abbaas said: You are going toadorn (mosques) as the Jews and Christians adorn (their places of worship). This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

The following is part of a lengthy Hadith narrated by Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood (R.A.) when he inquired from Rasulallah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) about the Signs of Qiyamah.

* Music and musical instruments will be found in every home.
* People will indulge in homosexuality.
* There will be an abundance of illegitimate children.
* There will be an abundance of critics, tale-carriers, back- biters and taunters in society.
* People will establish ties with strangers and sever relations with their near and dear ones.
* Hypocrites will be in control of the affairs of the community and evil, immoral people will be at the helm of business establishments.
* The Masjid will be decorated, but the hearts of the people will be devoid of guidance.
* The courtyards of Masjids will be built beautifully and high mimbars (pulpits) will be erected.

* Gangsters and evil people will prevail.
* Various wines will be consumed excessively.
