A glipse of what to expect in this lecture and about the Great Shaykh:

-He was a Shafi'ee in Fiqh.
-Jalal Ud Suyuti [rahmatullahi alaih] called him "A sign from amongst the signs of Allah"
-Some said he was the 2nd Bayhaqi (rahmatullahi alaih), whilst some said he was the Bukhari (rahmatullahi alaih) of his time.
-He used to memorise 400 lines of Ilhaam a day, in Qur'anic terms that is one Juz a day
-He was given the title Hafiz of hadith, because he knew 100,000 hadith [chain of narration, dates all included]
-He knew countless books of fiqh by heart.
-Sunnan Ibn Maja he read in 4 sittings, Sahih Muslim in 5, Sunnah Nasa'i and Sahih bukhari in 10 sittings and eaching sitting was 4 hours.
-He has written 270 works in total.
