On the Day of Qiy�mah, worldly friendship will be of no avail. A friend will flee from a friend.
However, friendship struck up fo the sake of Deen will endure even on that Day of Fear. Those who were friends here for worldly motives will be enemies there. But the friendship of the Muttaqeen (pious) will be lasting. Therefore, if you wish to make friends, befriend a Muttaqi.
