So there's difference of opinion. Yet haters stick to one and cannot accept the difference of opinion. Way to be impartial brothers.

The video has still not proved how it's HARAM in SHARIAH. No smoker denies the harms. If I operate photos and examples with slides, I can show the medical harms of biting nails with disgusting images. Will that make biting nails HARAM?

Biting nails can cause infections and bacterial infections that can spread to the mouth causing even more harms in the stomach and lungs
(can someone do that click to show button for the image in case it disturbs anyone - EDIT: done)

So with the logic applied in smoking, biting nails is Haram Haram and anyone who bites their nails I will point and look down at them and scream Haram Haram at them till they are sunk into the ground out of shame and humiliation.

So I can see that no one here is open to logic and actual Shariah application of the ruling but just breathing down everyone's throats with their own despising of the act. Abu Taalib thank you for the information and effort but like I said, I already agree with everything you're posting. I agree with differences of opinion. But what I have an issue with is just to say "Haram Haram" so blindly and with such a closed mind. Telling me I'm doing Haram daily without proper rulings especially when it's such a ruling that have so many opinions don't tell me I'm doing Haram. I say you making it Haram which is not clearly Haram in itself is more Haram than me smoking.

what's with all the thumbs down? It's distracting

There is a ruling on Hakeem ul ummah fiqh book for bitting nails as it can cause leprosy. ..Also the Maulana talks about nabulusi ruling and then explains with new findings how it can be haram and/or makruh BUT one thing for sure it is not Mubah also. Usul comes in to play do you Fully understand how rulings are derived

yes brother I understand how rulings are derived but I'm not qualified to it myself. I am not making a ruling here, I'm simply denying a fixed ruling that is being forced with complete disregard to the differences of opinion by some members

Thank you for that poster Abu Mohammed. 10 THINGS you may not know about shisha/hookah. I'd like to bring all those points to attention and show that I do not what I'm talking about and that your statements are not consistent.

1) Shisha smoking can be as HARMFUL as smoking cigarettes
It doesn't say "worse" which I find more accurate scientifically (after studying it myself)

2,3 and 4 no one denies

5) 1 hour of smoking shisha = inhaling up to 200 TIMES the volume of smoke in 1 cigarette
The volume of smoke, the quantity of smoke as I said before. It does NOT mean that it's more harmful than a cigarette. What is important is that both are harmful. Again, I don't just chat, I have studied this stuff for years guys

6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are all clear and no one denies those either hopefully

but I'm not making any ruling. It was made clear that there's differences of opinion so why can I not follow the opinion that I feel strongest towards since it's not a Madh-hab thing, I can choose right? As long as I don't switch, isn't this part of Ijmaa?

The difference of opinion is of HARAM and MAKRUH.....AS time advance knowledge if some things increases as for smoking the findings rule out any OLD thoughts if it being mubah wallahu `alam and as far as following the madhahib we as laymen follow the relied upon opinion of the madhabwallahu `alam
