Just as I write this article, my heart is bleeding and my spirits are plunging down into darkness. I have never been so sad in my life as I am sad right now. I am so surprised at muslims! All day I have been asking myself what is wrong with muslims? ........ I know you must be frustrated by now, for I am babbling on about my sadness and yet not referring to the actual problem.
Later this morning when I checked my email inbox , I found a forwarded email from a friend who reguarly sends me mails. On opening the mail I found out it was yet another call towards boycotting danish products. I do not object with boycotting, but I was stunned to see that the mail contained the most horrible mockeing picture of our belove prophet (s.a.w). A picture I cannot even imagine a muslim sending to one another, and written below it was "see the danish people making fun so please boycott their lego and other products." The picture was so horrible that I fell sick and had to shut my personal computer down, although I had just a glimpse of it. If I had knows that the mail contained picture i would never have opened it.
I ask you o muslim brothers and sisters whats wrong with you? non-muslims, they do not know the beauty of Islam, they have been raised on hatred, they are doing what they have been taught. But what is wrong with you? sending boycotting emails is one thing but forwarding horrible pictures!!?? How can one muslim even dare to look at it other than forwarding it? whats wrong with you? I was so utterly distressed by my friends, I had to ask them whether their souls had died underneath their skins? that mail was not only forwarded to me but to thosand other people. Do you not know when you see something bad or sinful you are not supposed to forward it? or advertise it? even if it were about a normal muslim? how can you then spread mocking statements and pictures to thousands of people under the heading of boycott about your most beloved Prophet (s.a.w)??!! just as hazrat Ali (r.a) had once said " كلمة حق اريد به باطل"
translation : The statement is correct yet intention through it is evil."
to tell you the truth I dont have words to type or to say, I just want you to realize what you are doing. It is said that momin is one who loves his Prophet more than he loves his parents, his children or himself. So tell me if God Forbid someone create mocking pictures about anyones family will that person spread it around? so how can you do this to our own holy Prophet (s.a.w)? I agree that calling people to boycott products is ok, every one should participate in fighting this war. But my dear brother and sisters in your enthusiasim you are crossing your borders and making fun of your Prophet yourself. just think about it.....you too will feel the pain tearing your heart when your minds will open...
May Allah forgive us all our mistakes. Ameen Summa Ameen
