Brief Summary of Job Description: Young men who find or rediscover faith while in Feltham are less likely to re-offend if they are supported outside prison by our Community Chaplaincy. We provide stability and support in partnership with local faith communities and volunteer befrienders.c. �26k 2 Year fixed term,
Full Details of Job: You will help reduce re-offending particularly for young Muslim men being discharged from HMYOI & RC Feltham through the provision of a faith-based support service. Working as part of a team you will recruit, train and support volunteers to provide a range of support services for ex-offenders which will include visiting and befriending, advocacy, information and advice, practical help in addressing identified needs to help them re-settle successfully into the community. You will be a person of the Muslim faith and be recognised by your faith community. Experience working with prisoners/ex-offenders would be recommended, but not necessary.
