Beauty of the Quran

in the Quran it says, "remember when Musa a.s. said to his slave, i will not giv up until i reach the point where the two rivers meet, be it i march for ages" (18:60)

there is the famopus story of musa and khizar in the quran but how much has a person ponderd upon it. it is said that once there was a gathering and somebody askd musa, who is the most knoledgeable person? in reply musa said I am.(which he ful authority to say coz he was the prophet of the tym) But the Almighty had other plans. He orderd musa to go to a certain place, "where the two rivers meet which is referd to as "where the two rivers meet" in the abov ayat. Just in this The Almighty has shown us great TEACHINGS.

1. Pride is a very bad thing.

2. none can even think that musa AS had any evil intentions, but Allah wanted to teach the whole of mankind till doomsday that even uttering the word 'I' or 'May'(in urdu) etc is a very disliked act.

3.the word ' I ' is a claim (da'wah). this is also disliked by Allah

4. look at the zeal of Musa despite being the Prophet of Allah, that he straight away obeys Allah's command

5. Look at his zeal for knowledge.

6.'be it i march for ages'. look at the want for deen. 'march..' also shows a person shud travel for knowledge if he/she has to. and there was no such transport as of now at that tym.so where do we stand!

7. musa travelled with his slave (khaadim), whose name was Yoosha bin Noon.thus proving a person shud take some with him when travelling. in actual fact a person shudnt travel on his own neway, accordin to shariyat.

THIS IS JUST IN 1 AYAH. ALLAHU AKBAR.

there are maybe many more in this ayat.

P.S. if i get a positive response then who knows, ALLAH might open up more oceans of knowledge on this story.

the quran continues the journey

the quran says, "when they furtherd musa said to his slave, give us our food ,verily we have found a lot of tiredness from our journey" (18:62)

thinkin points.

1. If a person hs a slave (ghulam,slavegirl), he can definitly take khidmah form them.
2. another point that that can be derived from this is that a teacher can take khidmat from student, simillarly a shaykh from mureed
3. some people mis understant the meaning of tawak-kul (havin yaqeen in Allah)
from this ayat we can clearly see that takin provision for a journey is not against yaqeen, and it is also not against Taqwa.
4. Musa was a prophet. there is no disgrace if a person takes companionship of a lower person (in this,his khaadim) whilst in journey.
5.a person shudnt over burden himself. as in this case u can clearly see that Musa was tired, and it has been mentioned,that MUsa had a ittle rest.

the quran says "did thou nat see when we took refuge on the rock, i forgot the fish. none but satan made me forget to mention it, it (i.e fish) made its way into the waters in a marvel" (18:63)
the slave saw the inccident but forgot to tel musa

1. in ayat (18:60) we also lern that when on a journey we shud tell whom is with us where we intend to go, as in the ayat it is said 'where the 2 rivrs meet'
2. also in 18:60 we lern that u shud call ur helper or friends with good titles (in the ayah the word 'Fatah' is mentioned). this fills more love in the heart of the other person.
3. Forgetting is a natural thing. if we ponder at wot happend , we see that the fish came alive, it jumped in the water, and it made a tunnel (this is not an ordinary thing). despite all this, the slave forgot.
4. a very BIG lesson in this is that if a person does forget, he shud not link it to Allah, insted he shud link it to Shaytaan. the ayah states ' none but satan made me forget.'

this is definitly one the evil triks of saytan also. another place in the quran, in the story of Yusuf (a.s), when yUSUF WAS PUT IN THE PRISON AND two men (who were also with him) come to him to ask for dream interprtation, he said to one of them that he would be freed. he also said to him,

"Mention of me in front of your master, but satan caused him to forget, and Yusuf stayed in prison for a few years" (12:42)

the word rahmah' in the verse has been explained as most as 'prophethood'.

froim the word la-dun-a' some say that there is two typs of ilm. one is from books and one ilm is called ILM-LA-DUN-NI. both of them [possed thjis . thjis is ilm which comes from Allah. Khizar had an ilm called ILM-TAK-WEENY. he would know from Allah wot is better for the future.(which is apparent in the latter part of the story.) some awliya also hav this, which commonly known as Kashf nowadays. one important thing to remembr that a person doesnt hav to be an 'alim' to be a wali. it is a sheer blessing from Allah. it is a very big mis-conception nowadays that people think that a non-alim can not be a wali. there wil b many AWLIYA in this world who r not Maulanas.

when a persn has ilm he shud thank Allah and not start boasting.

ilm is from Allah, it says in the verse, 'from our side'.

ilm is a very great blessing from Allah.

Allah says, "Musa siad to him (i.e.Khidhr), May i follw u so the that u may teach from the guidance (i.e. from your ilm) which you hav been given (by Allah)" (18.66)

1. when a person meets sombody, he shud do salam. nabi SAW said Do salam to whom ui know and to whom u do not (BUKHARI.MUSLIM)

2. the best introduction is by salam!

3. Look at the respect of Musa, "may i follow"

4.when aquiring any form of knowledge, request the teacher, not order.

5. When asking a question be polite and structure the sentence in the best way possibl

6. Musa asked "from which u hav been given". the teacher is not responsible to know every single thing.

In one hadith rasool SAW said, whoever has knowledge of something shud say it, wot he does not know he should say ALLAU A'LAM (Allah kows best), becoz to say Allahu a'lam on which something he does not know is also a portion of ilm'.... (till the end of the hadeeth) (BUKHARI MUSLIM)

7. Student shud not persist on something if teacher dont know.
