Assalamu Alaykum,

I just wanted to know if anyone uses mobile devices to access muftisays.com or if they use the net in general on mobile devices.

This is required for something in progress and it'd help if I got replies.

If you can state which device, that'd be great. Otherwise please vote if the vote options apply to you.

Jazakumullah

People need to stop going to extremes. I think Daywalker was fine as it is too point. Yes it could have been said nicely but then this is just a forum so it's okay. To the point is good at times.

"No I don't plan to" doesn't really serve any purpose in the reasons of the votes. A certain number of votes + topic views would help make a few decisions about this.

Also, I appreciate the guest's concerns. I myself didn't find the question rude but it's true that some would find it rude so it's best to think ahead.

Assalamoalaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuh

Statistically, one might argue that there is value in having such an option, since it would act as a 'control' and thus provide a survey result which is relative and not absolute.

For example, if it was found that 80% of those surveyed had no intention of using their mobile device to access MuftiSays, then it may be more fruitful to conduct a further survey to discover which projects would be of greater value to the greater number.

Just a thought.

Also, netiquette dictates that words written in CAPS imply shouting which is discernible by all, whereas the tone of an ambiguous sentence is interpreted by the individual reader alone.

Hmmm.

Where sensitivities run high, silence never fails.

Please forgive me if I err... and also for opting against silence.

W/salam,

Statistically, you're right, opposite options are required. However, the purpose of this vote is a simple count.

If only 5% say yes, it seems small, but if the 5% is from 50,000 visitors, then that would be 2,500 visitors. But i'm not there won't be 2,500 votes...

The vote is specifically for mobile net users. If one doesn't use it, there's no need to include them for vote count's sake.

The main 2 options are the first two, whether the mobile device user visits muftisays or not. The 3rd option is to have an idea if plans are to. 'Not using it' is not really part of this topic.

Hope this clears it.

in the long run it will be a very useful service, the amount of times we've been away from home and needed to know something that we've not been hundred percent on, it will be very reassuring having it as backup. the fatawa's will be extremely benefitting insha-Allah, not in the habit of using the internet over the mobile, but would consider using it if in a situation awayt from home and we were looking for a ruling on a specific issue.

Jazakumullah.

Main pages added to mobile section. If muftisays.com is accessed from a mobile device, it should be recognized as and mobile templates should load automatically.

Q&A main page, view question and browse list is active on mobile devices
Guestbook and other random pages updated too. Once full tests are complete, inshaAllah the entire site including Fiqhuiz will be available and optimized for mobile devices.
