Jazakallah. The mobile support was removed as the template was not updated as frequently as the standard template.

I do hope to make a fast mobile version for use on phones in future.

The site should work fine on mobile devices right now too but optimised for mobile is always better.

Salam.

Main forum pages are now optimized for mobile phones with easy viewing. options to switch to and from mobile and desktop version also visible in header.

The pages that are not yet optimized will default to desktop version.

I hope this makes browsing faster and easier. jazakumullah

Jazakallah, not bad as I mostly use it from the phone.

The layout does look a little strange but one can get the hang of it.

It's good that the option of desktop is still there, because sometimes you have an image of what you want in your head and you can quickly refer back to it and find it. A bit like the Quran, you get familiar with one type and can easily find the verse you want and then when you pickup a totaly different style of Quran, then you spend ages looking for the same verse.

Jazakallah, no need to scroll left and right all the time.

Yup, the main purpose is for readability. I've been using the site on phone for past few weeks too and I do find the scrolling sideways difficult.

Not to mention loading time decreased by at least 70%.

InshaAllah I will work more on header/footer to neaten up a little in spare time. In the meantime, suggestions welcome.

One more thing, I know not everyone likes the Iphone but I also have an ipad2, now the problem is that the new dropdown lists, like the community and about us options on top of the page do not function on the iphone :)

at the moment i am just using the community option on the right hand side menu on the home page.

Please do not reply with, get and android or windows phone lol.

You're right. On the iphone, I think I remember holding down on the top menu and it did open but it was a hassle.

Now that mobile detection has been added, it's time menu navigation was improved. Personally, I've never been satisfied with that top bar. I still get lost in there sometimes

Sorry, couldn't resist. The problem is highlighted. Ignoring your comment about not replying, has anyone tried the Asus 101, 10" Android tablet. @£150 its well worth it and still better than other brands or operating systems. Anyway, a netbook or laptop will allways be better than a tablet in many ways.

so true, im using it more and more on mobile, seem to have lost my patience to wait till i get on wifi, its exciting and dramatic times since we have had our "new friends " have joined. lol
