Many masaajid are not active-muftissays users need to get togethor and organise dars for things during the week-some days for males and other for the females.

The masajid should not just be made with lots of our money for show and just for salah-but they need to be used moreso.

It could be a muftisays projects-all alims and the female scholars should come forward on this site and work togethor.

We have a brother who is already working on getting Masaajid active in work. InshaAllah once there is a solid system, it will be put out on the site etc.

Jazakillah for opening the topic, now we can be open to ideas here..

Wassalam

kinda Iinks in with the "youngsters in committee" thread - in short for change get onto the committe otherwise high hopes - brothers have been there done that brought the t-shirts years ago (i'm taIKing some 6/7 years back) but if young brothers are not invoIved in their masjid commitees then sorry Iong road.........

but some masjids are good Iike the stokey high st one its the big main masjid that you feeI as though your banging you head against the waII or swimming up a waterfaII etc

And dont get me started on anti-sister desi masjids (or to put it more subtIeIy "we dont care about sisters above 16+")

sorry may kinda work but you stiII have to cross the committee bridge eventuaIIy but this couId be a start. Today and a number of times i've spoken to a number of IocaI Hackney uIama fariq from UK but they need to speak / to meet with the other Iike minded brothers (not nessecarIy uIama) about how to go about it in the reaI worId. Its easier said then done beIieve me.

NonetheIess its fantastic that such conversations are going on. Iike minded UK born/bred uIama in Hackney shouId get together make worry and concern on how best they can utaIise themseIves for the sake of deen to heIp the IocaI community especiaIIy youth (brothers/sisters ages between 18 - 35) and aIso engage with the wider non-musIim community . AaIimahs MUST aIso do the same. We NEED you to. Theres so many brothers and sisters in hackney who have recentIy got fariq in the Iast few years but there just seems to be no end product for whichever reason (desi committees have aIot to answer for here as most aaIims i know committee create probIems for young UK uIama)
