Rihla??

As salamu alaikum,

Has anyone heard about Zaytuna Institute's Rihlas to Haramain? I heard they are amazing MashAllah. Has anyone been on any of them? Just wondering what it was like.

Also, bit of a long shot, but could muftisays ever sort out a rihla e.g to Makkah and Madinah under the guidance of one of the Ulama? That would be truely very benefical InshAllah.

Or even better, an 'Ilm' Rihla - i.e a group going to an institue to learn Arabic togeother in e.g Egypt. When these things are done in groups, prices are much lower MashAllah. I think it would be really easy to sort out and alot of people would be interested InshAllah...

i dont get it, is it something like a hajj or ummrah programme (lectures), where you are taught the rituals and given advise on how to both physically and spiritually perform your journey?

My cousin sister and her husband went with Sheikh Hamza Yusuf.

(Obviously enough it caters for both sexes. However, I do not know how segregated it was)

They found it very beneficial. I do know that they had a brilliant Ziyarat and ofcourse brilliant lectures. I

t is a brilliant idea for Muftisays or a local Musjid to do a programme such as the above. It will inspire other male youths.
