Amongst the ulema how much respect is given to The Majlis' opinion. I tend to find numerous issues which come to light when they express their opinion.

1. Most of the time they tend to be voice in the wilderness as with the fatwa on coke. To my knowledge they are the only body that believes coke to be haram

2. Their use of languauge ("bunkum" being a favourite word) is not the akhlaaq of the Prophet Peace Be Upon Him.

3. The indirect hostitlity towards Mufti Taqi Uamani in one of their fatwas made me lose a lot of respect for them. I thought difference of opinion was permitted but an objective reading of their answer indicated a hostility beyond a difference of opinion.

In addition, what was very confusing is Majllis labelled Ahmed Deedat all sorts yet Mufti Ebrahim Desai referred to him in the complete opposite manner.

4. The biggest problem is the manner in which they brand all and sundry as kafirs. I have read and studied thoroughly on the topic and all ulema bar the majlis are of the opinion that before branding someone a kafir utmost care should be taken, to the extent that Maulana Ilya (RA) states in his malfoozat that if there are 99 rasons to find someone is a kafir and just one reason to suggest he is a muslim, Islam is so broad that we will still call him a muslim.

we shouldnt disscuss groups in such a way when we do not even really know about them fully.

Follow those around you who you know are haq, and leave the rest be. If you see something bad change it, or else don't just talk about things.

And one more thing. Why are the members of muftisays talking directly to one another on the forum? Is this nt going against its rules? Are you not suppose to pose or else the talking here is haram?

Please let us all bring taqwa into our lives!

Jazakallah Khairun, guest.

The issue of direct interaction between members has been addressed by means of PMs to those responsible. The old posts have yet to be dealt with.

agree - "if you see something bad change it" wont you agree the first step to change is taIk THEN action to change it as action first and foremost aIot of the times without taIk creates divisions and fitna.

On the Iast point i agree very much so.
