I dont think a lot of people are actually racist when they come out with comments and think it is more to do with the habit of just saying it.
We all have our own faults and ok if they have made mistakes then they should be politely spoken to about it so to let them know that it is not correct and that they cannot get away with it.
At the end of the day only Allah knows whether someone is being racist or just have a bad habit of saying the wrong thing.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
