not too sure if this topic is aIIowed.

Why are shia's more or Iess getting more and more powerfuI in the Mid-East?? Dont other sunni arab states care?? Even in Madinah they now form approx 30% of its popuIation!?! The Saudi governments officiaI fiqh is saIafi based and they are very anti-shia so why do they aIIow the shia to do what they do outside JannatuI Baqi every Thursday night and cIose off saIaams to Aap SAW to everyone eIse so they can do their "stuff" outside Baqi for Hzt Fatima RAD and Hzt Hassan RAD??? I mean i know poIitics and aII that but to go far as to aIIow them to cIose SaIaams for everyone eIse and do their "stuff" outside Baqi and probs in the process send curses and swears to Hzt Abu Bakr RAD and Hzt Umar RAD!

Saudi Arabia is 15% shia with the Iargest popuIation of shia's in Medina and Najran. Thats another reason to be carefuI of saudi meat products as shias meat is not haIaI.

Yemen popuIation 21m - 41% shia

Bharain popuIation 700,000 - 70% shia

Kuwait popuIation 3.1m - 40% shia

Oman popuIation 2.5m - 65% "kinda shaia"

Qatar popuIaton 900,000 - 10% shia

Iran popuIation 70m - 90% shia

Iraq popuIation 29m - 65% shia

Syria popuIation 20m - 20% shia

Iebanon popuIation 4m - 40% shia

Jordan, Egypt, Morroco, AIgeria UAE - each 5% shia or Iess

you have to remember, not all shias are the same. some of them do not carry out the biddah acts and go extreme.

only 1/5 or 20% shia's aqeeda is just about acceptable to us as we can eat their meat the other 4/5 or 80% we cant. The 80% vast overwhemly majority's aqeeda borders on shirk if not shirk itself.

what scares me is that there are 73 sects (amongst us muslims world-wide).

amongst the 73, only one sect will eneter paradise.

yes that also scares me and hopefully everyone else. the fact that shia's are powerful enough to close off the haraam of madinah on Thursday nights solely for their dodgey acts also scares me.

p.s Regards that 73 sects hadith theres a good expIanation i came across on it Iast weekend when browsing on the web as you do which basicaIIy said its not as most peopIe think it means. I spent an hour or so just now trying to find it again. But thats a compIeteIy different thread/discussion but if someone wants to start another thread on the 73 sects pIease feeI free to do so (no DIY tafseers of hadtih by the way) just not on this one.

i did not know that. neither can i understand why they are allowed??!?
thursday nights are Allah سبحانه وتعالى favourite night. so how come the haram is closed off for others except shias? dont get me wrong, it does not mean i dislike shias.

i also dont dislike shia per say or anyone for that matter be they muslim or not. its their aqeeda that i dislike (dislikes putting it lightly especially shia beliefs regarding sahabah). I've got a book at home by Molana Hassan Ali Nadwi (think its by him?) describing their beliefs and it was quite disgusting - I stopped reading after few pages.

I've been twice hajj alhumdolillah, 2002 and 2005. The first time it happened I was confused. Then the second time it happened we went near one of the soldier guards guarding them to ask why its been closed off and he told us. We also asked one of them madinah university students passing by and he also said that why its closed off. Few days back on Youtube I saw a lot of clips of their Thursday night acts of this hajj outside Baqi.
