Assamoalaikum Warahmatullah

Jazakallah Khairun for that link; it made very interesting and informative reading.

Just as the mufti mentioned that he was not worthy of presenting an opinion of his own, but could only explain the conclusions of his teachers and scholarly predecessors, there is no doubt that the readers of Mufti Says would remain equally mute in regard of their personal opinion, insha Allah.

The article states all that there is to say on the topic - we are indebted to you for sharing it with us. Jazakallah Khairun !

Fee amaanillah

Wassalaam

yes, kids may enjoy them. on the contrary, once children have the lee-way of watching these kind of educational programmes, they want to go 1 step forward by wanting to watch other programmes. eventually leading them on to watch educational cartoons, such as some shown on cbbc.

been there, done that. it dont work for me.

unless your children are afraid of you and is gratefull of you in the least for showing them telly and due to their fear wont dare ask you to move on to something else!!

p.s, i have a huge telly. but i dont switch it on at all!! (once you switch it on for 1 thing, be it educational, shaytaan automatically comes in and tempts you to watch one other episode, leading you on to watch the continued episode next day. etc)

Alhamdolillah, though its in our faces (due to its size) everyday, we dont miss it.
