islam b4 Muhammad s.a.w

i would like to ask a question which im sure some of you may be able to answer.

b4 our beloved Nabi s.aw was born, was islam present in makkah?

islam was a religion given to our prophet. the prophets b4 Him were told to worship Allah, but there was no name for this religion. - pls correct me.

Muhammad saw's parents, Abdullah & Aaminah, were they muslims??

i naturally assume that they were not idol worshippers, but believers in Allah. (hence the name 'abdullah')

Not all Arabs at the time were idol worshippers although Majority were in Makkah (as far as I know).
