it has proven very hard to get IocaI uIama invoIved to take up such a Iarge responsibiIity as this may invoIve 30+ sisters. AaIimahs we have so many of mashaIIah who are wiIIing to run the cIasses but not the uIama to do it. 101 stokenewington has started one i think Iast week so sisters interested can go there but probIem with is that they have a very smaII pIace. i think the probIem is no IocaI aaIim has ever done such a Iarge thing invoIving such Iarge numbers especiaIIy when it comes to sisters - onIy mufti yasin when he was here had the capacity and eagerness to do such a thing. We hope to meet again some time in next day or so to work out what to do. What eIse can i say but to make dua

i doubt it.

besides, its not a bunch of young girls hanging together.
its for classes to be run by pious God fearing women in the MUSJID.

IMPORTANT NOTICE/REQUEST

Shaykh Riyadul Haq Talk:-

Regards this event would it be possible to ask responsible sisters from Muftisays to help in ensuring the sisters who come here leave IMMEDIATELY after the talk. We also intend to ask other sisters also to do like wise and maybe get a few very old elders like say 65+ to stand by the green gates IMMEDIATELY after the talk to disperse the sisters asap so none loiter outside when the men are coming out. Sisters who need picking up should ask their mahrams to collect them from outside the taleem house on the opposite-left side from the masjid on corner of Cazenove Rd and Alkham Road (if not more further down) - Jzk

Sisters Circle event:-

The aalima's appointed will be responsible. Please allow them and them only to do what they are doing. At the end of the program you may be asked for any suggestions for any future similar events. It would be helpful if all sisters attending ensure that they turn up on time, no kid-boys and leave at 12:30 sharp - jzk

Assalamu alaykum w.w

Insha'Allah, I will be willing to help. (as long as the days are suitable for me to attend.)

Also, if there is any other help (volunteer work) the committee needs from sisters, you should advertise it here. Maybe that way you could get some dedicated helpers.
Obviously no exchange of contacts needed, just sisters can opt to do it with the the right intention, Insha'Allah.

The monthly sisters talk is now done with a talk by a local female scholar and a talk by Shaykh Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf with a QnA at the end. Please let other sisters know.

the sisters circle is still very much in its infancy so mufti saab will be asking (at the 21st Feb Circle) local sisters for their suggestions on what they think the circle should address and how to address the needs of local sisters - when this thread started there seemed to be alot of enthusiam from local sisters i.e Str's Queenie, Mus1ima, Sister H, Bint Mohammed, Shaly, Mujahidah an Nafs, Umma Zahra and Rujie. Inshallah i hope the sisters are still as keen to help, get involved and help mufti saab and other aalimahs. Yes i know its taken aaaggeeesss but now alhumdilliah with mufti saab and his backgorund and experience from the USA things should move rather quickly.

AsalaamsWW - Theres no actual teaching involved (at present) aalimahs give talks for approx 30-45 mins before Mufti Abdur Rahman gives his talk and QnA (followed by food). Im sure they'd be more then happy to have another aalimah to give a talk - thus increasing the pool of aalimahs that are giving the talks, helping to establish much needed links between local aalimahs and local sisters and empowering local aalimahs. The Masjid on Olinda Rd is also looking for an aalimah to give a talk on the weekend before Ramdhan

Addtionally the Masjid e Quba is looking for Aalimahs and ulama to teach in their evening 5-7pm madresah.

Email MasjideQuba if you'd like further info or would like to help in any other way im sure they be happy for any sort of help and support that can be offered (their address can be found on their website)
