Wouldn't it make more sense to request the deleting of posts in this topic?

i was thinking, would a petition help? maybe that way the madressah committe (whichever mosque) could realise the demands of such activities.

ok.

just for the record:
what i meant by petition is, get a list for people to sign stating they are interested.
maybe that way the respected commitee members can see there is a demand.
i did not mean a petition against the commitee members or the like of.
(that is the impression my previous post gives. sorry)

it was just a suggestion.

Just a word of warning. Recently a kinda sisters group has sprung up around the Stamford Hill area calling themselves the "Islamic Sisters Association". Although their intentions may be good they have a very moderate way of understanding Islam.

The main sister in charge is quite a senior aged sister (i thinks she's about 40 years old) but even she just has a scarf draped around her head sometimes quite moderately not even properly covering her hair. Think they are the "walk-around-in scarf/hijab-with t-shirts-and-tight-jeans" type.

They, far as i know, have no aalima's whatsoever with them but just do things how/as they want sometimes without consulting ulama or do consult them but keep consulting one after the other until they get one scholar who sanctions what they intend to do (sometimes even asking one thing then doing the other saying we asked so and so scholar and he said we can do this when in fact he said that), They may in future start to create fitna in Stamford Hill by portraying their moderate views on deen and women through certain programs/events/circles.

All those attending this posts Sister Event please be wary that sisters from this dodgey group may try to influence the event.
