Remember, Nabi (s) coming into a dream does not prove the acceptance of the one seeing the dream. Those constant in Durood have seen Nabi (s) in their dreams, those who have worked with effort for the Tahaffuz of Khatm-e-Nubuwwah has seen Nabi (s) in their dream. At the same time, 5 times punctual Musallee's who due to tiredness missed the Sunnah's in Salaah saw Nabi (s) in their dream but that don't mean if we start missing Sunnah's then we'll see him too. The zeal to see him, the love for his Sunan and mainly the love for Allah and His Deen are some essentials where you can see Nabi (s) in your dream. I have not heard of any particular Du'aa for it. However, Allah سبحانه وتعالى is capable of understanding all our needs however we ask (humbly). And as hra_100 said above, Durood Shareef is one of the best ways to show our love for Nabi (s). Regarding Durood Shareef, I received this today:

Moulana Abbas from Pakistan gave a short lecture over the weekend in Lenasia extension where he said that Hazrath Gibrael (A.S.) once came to our beloved Prophet (S.A.W) and told him that Allah (S.W.T.) has given him (Hazrath Gibrael A.S) the knowledge and strength to count every leaf on the trees on earth, every fish in the sea, every star in the sky and every particle of sand in the entire universe, but there is only one thing that he cannot count so our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.) asked Hazrath Gibrael (A.S) what it was that he could not count, and Hazrath Gibrael (A.S.) replied : When one of your ummah recite Durood (Salawaath) or send salaam to you, the blessings that Allah (S.W.T.) showers upon such a person becomes impossible for me to count.
