Good question...I think the thread was initiated by someone who held a strong view about people living in the UK being fat..Wa allahu alam...
Anyways hope that helps...
Wassalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah
dear people 'who care' can we kindly steer away from dissing all respected ulama and the rest of Allah s.w.t's creation, whom we are suppose to love and respect unconditionally, i speak for all that Allah ta'ala has created whether they be tall, short, fat, skinny, dark or ugly and yes even those suffering disabilities and diseases.
i make my stand " I LOVE FAT PEOPLE "
wassalam

I totaly agree sis...surely we have more to worry about e.g. accounting for our own deeds etc. than worrying about whos fat etc...
"All humans are dead except those who have knowledge; and all those who have knowledge are asleep, except those who do good deeds; and those who do good deeds are deceived, except those who are sincere...
and all those who are sincere
are in danger."
(Imam Shafi RA)

With all due respect Brother if you've read many of the posts at the beginning you'll find a lot of posts refer directly to ulama and obesity with many referrals which have already been deleted due to their offensive nature. Many Muslims are aware of what should be done but can you, yourself, categorically claim to do so at every meal? For many it is medical and for others hereditary. Each to their own everyone deals with things differently.
On a personal note i'd prefer to be a little over weight than under weight as that to has it's down sides too!!
Wassalaam
the more one eats, the less one can concentrate on ib

This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
