Brother, instead of a mufti, you need a visit (in person) to an experienced counselor . (as suggested by our respected Muadh sab)

To be frank, the fatwas generated from sub-continent applies for conditions in sub-continent, here caution prevails. ehtiath ka pahloo ziadah hota hai. While in the west, fatwa must prevail, and from a local mufti who lives there.

While requesting for our views, you would have just asked, "Can I sell T-shirt and Jeans in my city". You would have avoided your story of signs of losing barakah etc as consequences, it biases us.

Also, don't be like a young zealot who will be visiting mufti after mufti until he hears "young man, I salute your taqwa, you are roll model for the youth, wind up your business, Allah is Razzaq". That leads to moving from AVOIDABLE to HARAAM, then leading to blaming Allah for the trial (kufr).

Brother thanks for your concern.
To be Frank I was in this exact state of mind 2 years back, when I have gotten a fatwa of gunjaish from a reliable mufti, so I thought no worries, I will continue the business. I thought why to go so deep and think, I got the fatwa so just let go, now I am out of danger. And what if later I regret closing the business because of taqwa when I got the gunjaish/ allowable fatwa. So I continued.

Now I am here at this stage, when all that I can come to conclusions is this.

And Allah says in the Quran
وَمَا أَصَابَكُم مِّن مُّصِيبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَيَعْفُو عَن كَثِيرٍ﴾
(Surah Ash-Shūrā 42:30)
Whatever that befalls of musibat on you, is due to your deeds.

So how should I not ponder on the cause of this ongoing and continuous problems.

And there is well known sahih hadith that says about the traveller raising his hands asking Allah, and his clothes is haram and his food his haram how will his duas be accepted.

So this is point I am on. Whoever is trying to help me. Jazak Allah khair
And stopping this business is not like I am going to stop working altogether, I have ladies winter jackets category also, i will just stop t-shirt above hip and tight leggings and jeans and also those which shows awrah and shape. I can move to indo-pak suits, children wear etc. Allah will help me.

I read a book by Maulana Ali miya Nadwi RA - 3 gems of advice in that he says for good life do 3 things.
1. Never oppress
2. Refrain from haram wealth, and even refrain from doubtful wealth
3. Maintain ties of kinship even when it's painful.

Who said Pious are not inflicted with trials.

Counselors advice to slowly drift from Haram (fearing the person doesn't risk his Imaan), this is not haram, the fatwa to avoid could be based on caution.(ehtiath).

Why don't you change your business for your peace of mind and heart? Would you face any problems if you replace your stock?

When shaitan can't take you away from a certain highly ranked good deed, he slowly makes you do something that is still good, but of lesser reward and inside our heads, we think, you know what, I'm doing a good thing and then slowly drift away in doing the better thing.

There could always be something else that we are doing wrong but our attention is taken away from it and we give full attention to something completely irrelevant.

Only we know deep down what actions we are doing that is wrong. Even though outwardly we think we are pious and on the sunnah, there is still that dark hidden place where we might still be doing something in private (or even in public)

We need to ponder over every action.

Running a red light in traffic, speeding, bribery, not lowering the gaze, slacking in the halal we eat, backbiting, one up manship, delaying salah, parental responsibilities, any big or small thing. There's definitely something we are all doing

Currently, I see it this way. You were being tested and tested. So much so that you gave up on dua and amal. This is a huge win for shaitan and a huge failure for yourself.

Change your mindset. Understand that it does work. The error is probably within yourself elsewhere.

Pray Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah Astaghfirullah thousands of times a day.

If you are doing 10,000. Make it 10,001. Increase it. Not decrease or lower it.

Don't let whispers deter you.

Know that Allah is sufficient for you and this little test will pass, even if it's there for decades.

Look at the Prophets. They suffered for decades, Yusuf عليه السلام for example. But his Sabr and faith allowed him to prosper

Is your business failing or the problems you are facing are in your personal life? You will have to separate both matters. If the business has been failing for the past few years despite improvements then it may be time to move onto a different venture.
