“O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire…” (66:6)
Ali (rad) commented on this, “Teach yourself and your family the religion so you and them can be saved from the fire of hell.”
Or their learning and focus will be only on things of this world.
When life in the masjid becomes part of life at home, then they will become people of the masjid.
And if the life of the markets becomes part of life at home, then what will happen?
People go in jamaat and the focus is on buying items from the market to take home. People go for Umrah and Hajj; the focus is on buying items from the market to take home.
Then their families will become people of this world. Their concerns and demands will be limited to things of this world. If you are going here, purchase and bring this.
Wife is not going to say, “pray for me.”
Instead, she will demand bring this. If you don’t bring, she will fight with you.
She will say, “that other person brought why didn’t you bring?” She will point out the things of others and fight with you.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
