The security of the minority will come when the Muslims are paid jizyah.

Is that what was intended in this dua in op? Very doubtful, but you never know :)

Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam is reported to have said:

الْخَلْقُ عِيَالُ اللَّهِ، فَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَى عِيَالِهِ

“All created beings are Allah’s dependents, and the most beloved of people to Allah is the one who is good to His (Allah’s) dependents.”

(Al-Mu’jam Al- Awsat Vol:5 Pg:356 Dār –al- Haramain)

And help one another in goodness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and aggression.’ (Surah Al Ma’idah, verse 2)

Is making dua for protection of their places of worship same as assisting and supporting to propagate their religion and religious beliefs?

Maulana is making dua for restoration of harmony, then all places of worship are safe and secure. And he is urging all peace loving communities to join hands and use their resources to achieve this.

Nothing wrong in sending the message of harmony to people who believe in justice.

Is it allowed in Islam to pray for non-Muslims who are still alive, and how does this differ from praying for those who died in disbelief? Can we find examples of such prayers in the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

Places conquered during Hazrath Umar RA leadership had the following assurances:
1. Non muslims will not be forced to revert
2. No interference in practicing of their religion, they were free to celebrate their festivals. They were not called to appear before judge on their festival days.
3. Their places of worship shall not be demolished, any zealot trying to do that shall be punished.

الامان علی اموالہم و انفسہم و ملتہم و الشرائعہم

Although Hazrath Umar RA strived for elevation of Islam.

I ask you, to protect our mosques , the secular majority has to vote for change of regime or like us they also support the tyrant and think that mosques are hurting their religion.

We Muslims like to quote examples from Hazrat Umar رضي الله عنه because that was the peak era of Muslim Khilafat but why do we forget that was the peak era of Muslims overall as well? Meaning that was a time when Islam was at its full strength and no matter how the Muslims conducted their day to day affairs back then, no one could have dared to consider them weak.

However, is it so wise to use the conduct of that era these days? An action like this that is attributed to Maulana is sure to be interpreted as a sign of weakness and submissiveness in today's time. And that goes against how Muslims should present themselves. Even if we are in a position of weakness our outward appearance should be that of strength. Even if we, the Muslims of today, are prone to having soft corners for the kuffar in our hearts, we should limit it to praying in private, not in a public setting. In a public setting it sends a completely different message which is not befitting a Muslim especially when we are in an era where Jihad is now inevitable, even if we are too cowardly to undertake it.

That said, I think the ulema should be the one who should be talking to Maulana about this oversight of his, not us common Muslims.

In the first century muslims were strong, so principles were unique for that period.
Now muslims live in minority, the whole world is behind us. Kindly guide us how muslims must behave in Russian countries, poland, sweden, UK, France, Germany, India, Israel, US etc. No zeal must be involved, the suggestion must be based on real facts, the ground reality, the present happenings.

Maulana Sajjad Nomani DB has evolved a strategy, to build bridges between muslims and majority non-muslims in India, also target the persecuted communities among non muslims. If they vote against the tyrant regime, either it shall fall or it will be so weak that it cannot go ahead with its plans.

Utter rubbish.
What are you gibbering about.

The solution is simple and straightforward.

Giving up of sins and then fervent dua

Rest every strategy and method is imitation of kuffars.

Wahn is killing the Ummah almost everywhere. In India, Wahn, Bollywood and Nationalism is a big problem.

1. How will Indian sub-continent muslims stop sinning.
2. How will Muslims come out of wahn , stop idolizing Bollywood.
3. There are many lectures, literature on this subject, but the real problem is how to bring the change.
4. Today we can't ignore that, in China and Russian countries, the more the piety more are the punishments, persecutions. Muslims who have abandoned Islam and join the main stream, they live happily. After witnessing this how can we save Imaan.

As a Muslim you need to be told what to do? Sticking to the Sunnah is not enough?

Maulana's strategy is one of appeasement. And that has not yet proven to work in any of the non-Muslim countries for any of the Muslim population there. The reason for that being is the kuffar of today are not like the kuffar of those previous centuries. Back then even the kuffar exhibited some sort of honor. Today's kuffar do not. They will perceive Maulana's strategy as an admission of weakness and submission and that Muslims shouldn't exhibit under any circumstance. Even if Muslims are being killed in some non-Muslim land, do not make the mistake of exhibiting submissiveness, the kuffar won't show sympathy with you for that. Because as Allah has said in the Quran, the kuffar will only consider you as friends if you become like them. You remaining Muslim and then putting up a show of weakness will not get you their friendship. It will get you their lordship and get them your slavery.

The strategies by local ulema have worked in recent elections.

The ruling party was boasting of 300 seats for themselves and 400+ including its partners. They are reduced to simple majority after including the alliance parties.

Other states also ruling party is losing power.

The ruling party strategy was to provoke and wait for knee jerk reaction by muslims and cash that. That didn't happen this time. Even in previous election if Pulwama would not have happened the results would have been different.
