Assalamu alaikum, can anyone give any info about the relationship between this madrassa and Deoband? Were there any Deobandi scholar who taught there or any deobandi teaching there currently?

Whatever information I have is:
  • Both deoband and sawlatiah were established during same period.
  • They follow Hanafi Fiqh
  • We don't know about aqeedah, whether maturudi or Asharee
  • Not aware of the syllabus.
  • Deobandi scholars stay there when they visit Makkah.
  • Scholars like Maulana Saleem sab visit/visited Indian sub continent regularly and sub-continent deobandi ulema host them.

The Madrassah Sawlatiyyah was founded 10 years after Dar Ul Uloom Deoband.

By Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi ( May ALLAH have mercy upon him).
The Maulana is famous for debating Christian missionaries. And he wrote a work called Izhar Ul Haq " the truth revealed." Which refutes Christianity citing Biblically verses. It was this book which inspired Shaykh Ahmad Deedat رحمة الله عليه to start debating Christian missionaries.

Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi, was a Hanafi Scholar and mureed of Haji Imdadullah Muhajjir Makki the Madrassah Sawlatiyyah was build in consultation with him.

Haji Imdadullah Muhajjir Makki had a female mureed called Begum Sawlat Nisa, she was of royal lineage and a descendant of Tipu Sultan. She payed for the establishment of the Madrassah. And therefore Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi named it after her.
Haji Imdadullah Muhajjir Makki is the common denominator and he is also the Shaykh of the Elders of Deoband.

And as a Disclaimer : I would say that the information I gleaned came from the internet and would need to be verified.

The two things I can say with reasonable certainty are that Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi was the founder, and Begum Sawlat Nissa was the largest donator, for the establishment of this Madrassah.

As for Haji Imdadullah Muhajjir Makki I cannot confirm whether he was the Shaykh of Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi or simply a friend and associate. They were of similar age and it was unusual for the Mashaykh to become a Mureed of someone who was a contemporary in age and experience. Usually the Shaykh was someone who was a lot older.

Mufti Zar Wali Khan on Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi رحمة الله عليه
And he indeed confirms that Maulana Rahmatullah Karanwi was a student of Haji Imdadullah Muhajjir Makki رحمة الله عليه

He never wrote against Deobandi Aqaid. As far as I know.

As for current teachers perhaps you can contact them directly apparently if you send a message on WhatsApp you should get a response. And ALLAH knows best.

Just Google the following ..Sawlatiyyah Madrasah (Hanafi). Their phone number and address will come up along with reviews.
