Shams uddin is a Barrister, he has previously campaigned to be a councillor for the Liberal Democrats and failed to win.
He is standing as an Independent,

Rabina Khan has been a Councillor on and off since 2010 initially she was with Labour has represented various community based parties since.

She is standing as a Liberal Democrat so is unlikely to step down.

As for Ajmal Masroor he previously stood against Rushnara Ali as the Liberal Democrat candidate in 2010 and lost by a very large margin. And for his Scholarly credentials I believe he does not have orthodox Islamic credentials but instead has an academic degree in Islamic Studies and Arabic from a British University.

From that statement of Tasnime Akunjee , it looks like he is not endorsing anyone, and has decided to take the principled position.
In my opinion he deserved to be the candidate he was the first to declare his intention to challenge Rushnara Ali, at the start of this conflict.
And he is the only one who does not have a history of trying to pursue a political career.

And ALLAH knows best.

The UncleJee in Blackburn has gone to the media to complain he is being bullied by others to step down. For stating the obvious that he is not qualified to stand.
www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/24355466.blackburn-ind...

Only a matter of time before the national press picks up this story, to condemn Muslim candidates and groups.

Indian Muslims categorically told the opposition parties, we accept zero representation of Muslims in Parliament, but regime change must be given priority.
It worked in state of uttarpradesh.

Even if Muslims vote en masse to a Muslim candidate, he can never win. But, it can polarize non Muslim voters they too will vote en masse to their selected candidate.

Muslims voted for non Muslim candidate, preferred over contesting Muslim candidates.

"I strongly urge Rabina Khan , Ajmal Masroor and Shams Uddin to submit to an urgent community hustings so as to reduce the candidates standing against Rushnara Ali to just one unity candidate - i propose that the community should pledge never to vote for any candidate in any election who refuses this offer."

"Workers' Party candidate endorsed by Palestinian foreign ministry. Endorsed by the Palestinian Foreign Minister but... not by ⁦
@themuslimvote" George Galloway.

Read Article in link above

If the issue is GAZA then the people of Blackburn would be well served in endorsing Craig Murray a former Ambassador to Uzbekistan and a long term advocate for Palestinians.

Muslims in UK are facing the same environment what Indian Muslims were facing some 15 years back, This time they could considerably mitigate the problem.

Social media is full of analysis. If they feel it will help them, use the experience.

Unfortunately today is bad day for we Indian muslims, fruits of hard work got reversed. We have to rebuild the faith on Indian muslims, a reassurance process. An incident of firing on Hindu pilgrims in Kashmir. Casualties are reported.

The data is clear: the Tories have no chance of winning this election.

What’s important now is a strong opposition that can challenge Labour's unhinged shift to the right.

Labour's plan to "recognise" Palestinian rights is contingent on Israeli permission.

To truly support Palestinian rights, vote for Anti-Genocide Alternatives instead of Labour.

Keith Mason member of George Galloways party was removed as a candidate after his Islamaphobic comments came to light.

After he agreed to an interview with 5 Pillars website, the Editor Roshan M Salih appealed to have him re-instated.
5pillarsuk.com/2024/06/10/workers-party-candidate-keith-m...

Firstly in the above article they left out the most offensive tweet and slur against our Prophet (saw).

But over all there are two problems with this firstly how in the future will we as Muslims be able to hold someone from the media and political establishment to account. If we are lobbying for individual to be re-instated who has made appalling Islamaphobic slurs.

Secondly other parties have deselected candidates for making Islamaphobic remarks and some not as offensive as this guy. Then would the other parties not feel justified in re-instating their candidates. Or in future ignoring complaints about Islamaphobia about their party members by highlighting Muslims being selective when it comes to who they want held accountable for Islamaphobic behaviour.

And finally insults against our Prophet (saw) should be a redline how can we endorse or vote for someone who expresses those kinds of views.

Here is the Keith Masons interview with 5 Pillars.

Following a personal appeal from RM Salih, George Galloway decided to reinstate Keith Mason as the Workers Party GB candidate in Wakefield. Galloway noted that Mason's interview with 5PillarsUK went well and recommended it to everyone.

I quote:
"When two or more lame persons gather at a place, necessity increases, both can't help each other"

Similarly my request to Muslims in UK, collectively think about you and your country men only and vote. There is nothing selfish in that decision.

We Indian muslims have learnt that the hard way.
