Excerpt from Haji Abdul Wahab رحمة الله عليه’s speeches and notes.

“You are the best community ever raised for humanity—you encourage good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah”. (3:110)

Allah سبحانه وتعالى has sent us to spread guidance among humanity in this world. This is effort of calling to Allah. This ought to be the objective of one’s life.

Our concern be how humanity can become people of faith?

People who believe in Allah and His attributes.

People who have firm conviction in good actions. Those actions that bring help of Allah resulting in success of both this world and hereafter.

People who practice on those good actions with conviction.

This is why Allah has sent us.

How unfortunate it is!

Since the very beginning we raise our children with the sole concern how they can derive (temporary) benefit of this world. This we will constantly worry about.

But we don’t raise our children on the concern how they can be a means of guidance for humanity! How can they be a means for Allah’s commandments to be followed? Since the beginning we should nurture and train our children on this basis. But we rarely make this a concern.
