UN Secretary General Guterres invokes Article 99 of the UN charter for the first time.

This allows him to 'bring to the attention of the Security Council any matter which in his opinion may threaten the maintenance of international peace and security.'

🚨 A new group based in Nablus calling themselves the Grandchildren of Yassin Brigade emerges, having already engaged in clashes in Nablus, Jenin, and Tulkarem in recent days. Their fighters are comprised of every faction, pledging that they are present in all areas in Palestine and that they are "nothing but the sons of the one, united motherland, Palestine."

The Brigade has released a new statement today, as follows:

O sons of Nablus, the Mountain of Fire,

Here is the ruthless enemy violating our sons and killing our children, the pieces of our livers [those most dear to us].

Today, the occupation army has committed a new assassination crime against our brave prisoners with the martyrdom of the heroic prisoner Abdulrahman Bassem Al-Bahsh (23 years old) from Nablus in "Megiddo" prison, detained since May 31, 2022, and sentenced to 35 months in prison.

We, as the sons of Nablus, the Mountain of Fire, in particular, and sons of Palestine in general, will respond in our own way, and the occupier will understand our intent.
