Wifaqul Ulama urges all UK Muslims to search for the Hilaal for the month of Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1444 on the evening of Saturday the 20th of May 2023 which corresponds to 29th Shawwāl 1444 after sunset.
We follow the same Moonsighting process for all 12 months and all proceedings will be live on Twitter.
Therefore, the Islamic month of Shawwāl will have 29 days and Dhū al-Qaʿdah has started. The first day of Dhū al-Qaʿdah will be tomorrow Sunday 21st May 2023.
