Members from other groups can also have humility in their demeanor. This characteristic is not limited to those that spent time with tablighi jamaat.

Adil Rashid is a barelvi afaik. He keeps a full beard but so do many barelvi young males do now. Beard has certainly become easier for men nowadays in the UK. Gone are the time of being clean shaven seen as smart. He may have spent time and being inspired by them. I was under the impression that it was because of team mate moeen ali and their spin coaches mushtaq Ahmed and saqlain mushtaq, the latter two are both tablighis.

Adil Rashid might be a Barelvi but he spent time in Jamaat with Saeed Anwar and he credits that for his journey towards becoming a practicing Muslim.

By the time Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid became regular members of the England squad. Mushtaq Ahmed had already departed as a coach. So they mainly had Saqlain as there spin Coach.

And incidentally both the Mushys, and other TJ Pakistan cricketers were influenced by Saeed Anwar who was the first active cricketer in Pakistan team to participate in Tabligh.

There were others from the past in the 70’s and 80’s who became after retiring from cricket. Qasim Omar and Saeed Ahmed etc.

But Anwar was still an international cricketer and Muhammed Yusuf was influenced to convert from Christianity because of Anwar.

And here is the Late Junaid Jamshed on how he went from being international music star to being involved in TJ work.

All very interesting and inspiring Bayaans Especially the one by Junaid Jamshed.

There are large number of true stories of Unfamous daees. I would like to narrate about an unfamous daee, first hand report from the place.

This is a small village in southern state of Andhra pradesh. 100% muslim population. Here women and children do job and earn. Men collect money from them and go to a neighboring village and consume wine after sunset. There is curfew like situation in the other village, hindus advice their families to remain indoors "Muslims are coming". Complete nude Muslim men return to their homes.

A tableeghee sathee is deputed to that village as school teacher (secular education).

He stays in this village with his family. Motivates the local children to return to school. Here he teaches them deen. They offer zuhar with jamaath. As time progress these children get regular for five times salah in school building. The ladies also get motivated and they learn deen from wife of the teacher.

Locals try to construct a masjid, men object and they demolish masjid. Fight starts between men and the rest.

Women and childen leave the village and migrate.

Late in the night, men surround the house of teacher with swords, compel him to leave the village in middle of the night.

Men don't have money for wine, they visit their families and beg them to return. Families place a condition that teacher will return and masjid will be reconstructed. Men agree.

Teacher invites tableeghi jamaat to visit and stay in the village. Entire village reforms, men do taubah. They do khurooj for 40 days, one among those men from the village, sits on the membar of our markaz and narrates the above true story.

The teacher, Unfamous daee . We didn't meet the teacher.
