Off course, DZN is the fruit. The fruit is always sweet. Someone did the hard job plowing the ground and planting the seeds i.e. waking up the Muslims. This is where Tabligh shines and it is not an easy task. There will be fewer results, no recognition, no acceptance, a lot of crying and dua, not to mention being bullied, etc.

Anyway, at the end of the day, everyone has a role to play

Today it is "seeing is believing". DZN is everywhere, every muslim knows him. DZN results are visible. All those crying and acts of tolerance by TJs, who knows that, where are the results, none visible.

They are tired of the nagging from their wives. This gives them a chance to spend some time away. That's the visible benefit.

But how do you know DZN is doing what he's doing now because of going in tabligh and he wouldn't have done it had he not gone or he didn't do something else after going in tabligh which made him do what he does now.

The same goes for Dr Israr and many others you have listed.

How do you know an engineer became an engineer due to him studying maths at school? He could've become something else. But studying math was a contribution to his journey

Most of the mentioned personalities have gone to Tabligh in their early days. Since Tabligh encourages people to give dawah as their bread and butter message, the influence in their Da'wa career is definitely there.

In an interview Moeen Ali spoke about how he yearned to be the custodian of a mosque and clean the restrooms and this sounded a lot like what I've heard a lot of young men say after they've spent time in tabligh. I cannot say with certainty that Moeen Ali definitely spent time with TJ.

Dr Israr Sahab RA had already been deeply influenced by Maulana Maudoodi RA and when he had a disagreement with Maulana, he ventured towards TJ in the hopes of finding kindred folk, but he eventually came to the conclusion that TJ was not interested in tackling contemporary issues head on, so he parted ways with them also. He was however impressed by their humility and their exertions in ibadah and dua.

The fact that these people went on to do great things after their brush with TJ tells us that they did not find fulfilment in TJ. Afterall people have different mizaaj (temperaments) and so they gravitate towards efforts that resonate best with their personalities.

For example, Colonel Sahab could never be a sufi, and that doesn't mean that sufis have nothing to offer. Colonel Sahab's temperament is far too headstrong and opinionated to fit into the conformist environs of a khanqah.

Moeen Ali is an ahle hadith and there are plenty of them in Birmingham where he comes from.

yearning to be the custodian of a mosque and clean restrooms traits are not just limited to TJ.

There are many fatwas on DZN and many other personalities as well. The approval of Tabligh has the Ijma on their side.

With you second point, are you also saying that the Sahaba and many of the pious predecessors wasted their time too with optional acts?

Both Jannah and the road to Jannah has levels

Bismillah.

I am from the same area of Birmingham as Moeen Ali. He is as Brother Rajab explained Ahle Hadith.
The Green Lane Masjid in Birmingham is the historical home of the Ahle Hadith in U.K. and they have alot of converts in their congregation, it was a Convert Brother from that community that inspired Moeen Ali to start practicing the Deen.

However his friend and fellow England cricketer Adil Rashid, was inspired by TJ I do recall Adil mentioning in an interview that the legendary Pakistan cricketer Saeed Anwar who is these days a fulltime Tablighee, was in Jamaat in his local area near Bradford. And he went and spent time with him in Jamaat and that is what changed his life and inspired him to start practicing the deen.

The humility in his demeanor certainly had me convinced that brother Moeen Ali likely spent time in TJ.

In many of our local masajid, the youth are mostly ahle hadeeth, and they are not sectarian (at least not yet), so much so that a prominent Deobandi Tablighi scholar in our area actually appreciates the simplicity of their dawah.

Brother, not Salafi scholars, but Deobandi scholars such as Mufti Saeed Palanpuri RA and Maulana Ilyas Ghumman HA have said that TJ indulge in tehreef of Qur'an and sunnah when they claim ayah and hadeeth of jihad and qital for their effort. The fatawa from Deoband clearly state that TJ is neither fardh nor wajib, but at best mubah.
