Does anyone know as to who runs the above YouTube channel. I watched the first video in the series on 'Islam and the Cosmos' and I found it interesting and a lot of it made sense to be honest. But a lot of it was information I had never come across before, in particular around the creation of the Earth and concept of time linking it to the Quran and Ahaadith.
However when I saw some of the other videos on the channel I'm sure it has Illuminati stuff on there so I'm not so sure now.
Just hoping others can share their knowledge on this.

I found another very popular channel with some excellent information on it where the presenter is a non Muslim female and their objective is to prove that the Quran is divine and how science is acknowledging the details of the Quran.

However, I came across one video from them where they used the same methodology of all their previous videos to prove that Al Quds is not in Palestine!

So now I wonder who is behind such a channel too.

Better to stick to authentic reliable, known or deceased scholars.

The female narrator on Lote Tree sounds like the same woman from the other channel.

I've had to take a listen. They are not the same.

The intro also said that the narrators are husband and wife.

The woman from the BBC sounds different and Allah knows best

Allah knows best.

As far as the other channel the Woman is not from the BBC. Clare Forestier is according to her website is just a presenter who reads of a tele-prompter. The Dawah guy John Fontain did a critique of that channel and their misrepresentations.
Here.. youtu.be/GadR9mi-vbc

As for this Lote Tree channel, I clicked on of there videos, although cinematography seems impressive and captivating.
The commentary had me confused did not have a clue about what they were talking about. Or what sources they were using. Caused me to have Waswasa.

I would agree with you, any channel that is totally anonymous, has no other representation on any social media. And we do not know who they are should be avoided.

Some of these channels are shia, Ismailli, Bahai, and alot of them Qadiyani.

And further more there is also a phenomenon on Youtube were non-muslims do reaction videos. That is they video themselves watching videos about Islam /short clips and giving their own opinion. Quite fascinating that these channels that are a money making scheme end up having more muslim subscribers then authentic Islamic ones. These people have clued on to the fact that muslims are so beaten down and feeling abused by the Western Media that they get excited by even the slightest of attention or positive complement concerning Islam and muslims from a non-muslim. They have donation links and all the rest were muslims are even donating to these people.

I agree with both of you that knowledge should be taken by authentic scholars and some of these channels are run by Qadianis, Shias, Bahá'ís etc.

Some of the hadith and Quran verses mentioned in there I am going to try and do more reading to find out what scholars have explained.

I mean in some books of tafaasir it may give a biblical narration of an event, for instance linked to a prophet, but will make it clear it is so it's not necessary to believe it to be true however there maybe elements which are true but we just don't know.

We know that the Angel of Death removes the soul of all. How he does that so quickly considering there must be hundreds/thousands of people dying everyday, we may struggle to understand.

As humans our brains are limited and cannot comprehend the power of Allah Ta'ala so need to accept we can't understand how all of this happens.

I mean 20 years ago who would have thought you would have driverless cars, many aspects of your life could be controlled on your mobile etc

Although all this is intriguing one could say there is more in our Deen where we can channel our energy when it comes to learning.

What I've done in the past is watched something that was interesting, by Muslims and non Muslims. Then i get what I found interesting, referenced, and create my own thread and fill that with references.

If I'm not satisfied with the references, I never watch from them again :)

Perhaps you could enlighten us about what you've seen and accepted with references.

Always fascinating

How is your research going?

I can tell you one thing for sure (after watching the trailer), it's all speculation. But after having watched all 7 back to back episodes of series 1, and 4 videos or series 2, one is left on awe, knowing that it's is just speculation. The evidences used and Quranic references along with Ahadith, it was an amazing mind boggling watch, but this is based on speculation for now and Allah knows best.

The series is bogus and unscientific.

1) Mentions multiverse which is pure fantasy.

2) Mentions the big bang and 13.8 billion years ago which is also pseudoscience and fantasy.

I'm only a few minutes in.

It's all speculation. They did one calculation and then based the entire series on that. Some good, some exaggerated, some authentic and some sci-fi

Fascinating yet mere speculation and Allah knows best!

I mentioned the Multiverse before and our brothers response was excellent.

Explains why the multiverse is bogus.

The Fine-Tuned Universe: a message from God, written in the fabric of our world

[Thread]

We all agree that the universe is built upon fundamental and consistent laws. But when we look deeper, we find the nature of these laws have two parts: an action and a magnitude

An interesting read and way beyond my league :)

Yet at the same time we ponder over the narration about the 7 Adam's and 7 Muhammed etc etc.

Multiple Earths or Multiverse, what's the difference?

And Allah knows best

As far as I'm concerned, there is no god except Allah and that Muhammed (saw) is his final messenger.

For us, the famous hadith of jibreel (a.s) is sufficient to understand our Deen and what is expected from us. We just have to prepare for the Hour to the best of our ability.

Let us hold on to basics, research and getting into details is not demanded.... But it is scary.... the research can add to more confusion.

To be honest I've not watched all of them and kind of stopped with the research. Like some of the brothers have mentioned some of it is far fetched but able to get views.
