Alhamdulillah, I have written the most concise article regarding the Tablighi Jamaat Split / Ikhtilaaf. It is for the General Public as it is light and not too 'Tablighi'

This is for the information of Maulana Saad sahib supporters.

List of Members of shura constituted by Hazrath Umar رضي الله عنه is:
Hazrat Uthman رضي الله عنه
Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنه
Hazrat Talha رضي الله عنه
Hazrat Zubair رضي الله عنه
Hazrat Sa'd bin Abi Waqas رضي الله عنه
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf رضي الله عنه

And.... Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar رضي الله عنه will intervene when there is a tie.

Supporters of Maulana Saad sahib db claim that since Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنه was the last member left from the shura.... he was Ameer by default.

We check the year of passing away of these members... we find that Saad bin abi Waqqas رضي الله عنه passed away 14 years later than Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنه, then he was default Ameer after Hazrath Ali رضي الله عنه.
Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنه 40AH
Hazrat Saad bin abi Waqqas رضي الله عنه 54 AH

Hazrat Umar رضي الله عنه strongly opposed that Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar رضي الله عنه shall not be selected Ameer after him. So inheritance theory is negated.

They claim lineage of Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه.

Lineage doesn't stop someone from erring. Yes sahabah are magfoor, their repentance is accepted. They have left this world clean.

But claiming that today's syeds can't err, someone with lineage with hazrath Ali رضي الله عنه can't err.. this is blunder.
