Bangladesh World Tablighi Gathering 2023. .. Address to scholars / Ulema:

I did not like to give sermon to you because all of you give sermons!

Instead, I'll offer a few words of request!

He said that "we do not ask for your participation in tableeg, but we would like you to assist this noble work".

First hand report form Tongi Ijtema.

Attendees count could not be estimated. There was no place even to sit inside the tents.
Crowd could not be served like earlier ijtemas. Hosts were helpless.
Saathees from other countries were present.
Since there was no place to cook, local attendees survived on beaten rice (chudwa) soaked in water.

Maulana saad supporters attack saathees who were sleeping in Tongi ground after day's preparation for ijtemah in the field. Middle of the night these people came armed with swords, sticks etc and attacked the unarmed saathees resulting in martyrdom of 4 sathees and hundreds got wounded.

Maulana saad is yet to respond for this gruesome incident.

Many saad supporters are justifying the attack, that rubs salt to the wound.

A case has been filed regarding the clashes and killings at the Tongi, Gazipur congregation site involving followers of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi.

The case was registered by Maulana Zubair’s follower, SM Alam Hussain, at around 10 PM on Thursday night at Tongi West Police Station. SM Alam Hussain is a resident of Gaital village in Kishoreganj and a member of the World Shura.

The case includes the names of 29 individuals, along with several unidentified persons. Prominent accused include Syed Wasif Islam, his son Osama Islam Anu, Abdullah Mansur, Qazi Irtaza Hasan, Muaz bin Noor, Zia bin Qasim, Azeemuddin, Anwar Abdullah, and Shafiullah, who are key followers of Maulana Saad.

According to the police, Maulana Zubair’s followers were already present at the site, preparing for the congregation scheduled to commence on January 31. However, Maulana Saad’s followers attempted to hold a five-day gathering from December 20 to 24 without permission and shared posts about it on social media.

The FIR states that Syed Wasif Islam, through a signed declaration, announced that Maulana Saad’s followers would assemble at the congregation site. Subsequently, thousands of people began gathering around the site starting Tuesday evening.

At approximately 3:30 AM on Wednesday, Maulana Saad’s followers launched an armed attack while Maulana Zubair’s followers were sleeping at the site. The attack resulted in the deaths of three individuals: Aminul Islam (Kishoreganj), Bilal Hussain (Faridpur), and Tajul Islam (Bogra).

When people have no other options, they turn to conspiracies. They start arguments, resort to violence, and stop thinking logically. This isn’t real work—it’s a trick used by weak-minded people with no purpose, and carried out by those who are impatient. When all other options fail, they play the game of conspiracy.

Their options were blocked, and they had nothing left to try, so they made their move. But remember, that move has failed. Soon, other countries will hesitate before accepting them. The ugly side they’ve shown has pushed many away, leaving them isolated. Now, trying to force countries into alliances is like desperately clinging to power that was never truly theirs.

Meetings are called, but they are just a show. People are invited not to share ideas but just to listen quietly. No one is asked for their opinions, no discussions are held, and no real understanding is sought. These aren’t consultations—they are ways of showing power. If they were genuine, everyone would be involved, and real conversations would take place. Instead, people are just told to show up, sit down, and listen. These aren’t examples of leadership; they are just ways of controlling a crowd and pretending to govern.

The idea of global unity has turned into a disaster for the community. It has become stubborn and harmful, making reckless decisions, promoting false beliefs, and treating certain people or places as untouchable. This issue refuses to listen to anyone, and those who are distant from it fail to realise that it will soon affect them too.

This problem has grown beyond a point where it can be fixed. The only option now is to remove it entirely from the community. Meanwhile, followers are being taught to lie: swear an oath, repeat the lie, and keep saying it until it is believed as the truth.

Saad followers in India blame the shura akabir for all these incidents. They argue that akabir would have committed suicide inside markaz and shouldn't have left markaz and created the split. The other option they offer to shura akabir is that, they would have gone into seclusion in their home cities.

The supporters shield their leader for all his misdeeds.

In previous years, the two factions of Tablighi Jamaat, led by Shura and Maulana Saad, held the Ijtema separately. However, this year, the shura's followers are organising the event in two phases. The first phase concluded with Sunday's final prayer, featuring devotees from Dhaka and 41 districts. The second phase will occur from February 3-5, including participants from the remaining 22 districts.

Following an 8-day break, Maulana Saad’s followers will hold the second segment of the Bishwa Ijtema from February 14-16, concluding with the final prayer.
