Marriage is act of worship. Prayer is great act of worship but it ceases when one completes it. While marriage commences from offer and acceptance (ijab-o- qubool) continues while speaking, earning, walking, going about, awake, sleeping i.e. in every condition; it’s ongoing worship. By the conditions of life, it doesn’t cease.
In prayer, if one deliberately speaks prayer is broken. While marriage is such, speaking to spouse pleasantly will be an accepted act of worship. ‘Worship’ is done in both favorable and unfavorable circumstances. In marriage, successfully navigating with tolerance of different temperaments, this is worship.
