Bit of a random question. I recently saw a documentary on exorcism (Christian/Catholic) and wanted to know does their exorcism work and if so how/why?
In Islamic ones they call upon Allah and Allah's authority to dispel the jinn/demon but non Muslims will invoke shirk be it son of God or idols (assuming Hindus n pagans do it too) so why would a jinn leave if being commanded by a false god and idol
I suppose if it even does work, that would be one of the layers of Shaytan's deceit wouldn't it? Like it would strengthen the belief of the Christians that their kufr is the path to salvation.
Kind of like how that guy Roger Morneau who wrote a book A Trip Into The Supernatural. Much of what is written in there can not be refuted by Muslims because we know that "world" exists and we can relate to whatever is said in it. But the lesson that Roger Morneau took from it was that his belief in the church of Seventh Day Adventist was the true path to salvation and all the other forms of Christianity were deceit of Shaytan. And from what is written in his book, he was put on this path by either Shaytan or Dajjal himself.

2. There are muslim jinns both pious and khabees. And non Muslim jinns
3. Exorcist gets hold over khabees and non Muslim jinns.
Salafees have compiled books on jadoo and sihr in urdu.
JazakAllah for replies. A friend of mine said yrs ago when abdur raheem green was still a new muslim he told him too that shaitan removes the jinn to increase their disbelief and fools them into thinking their religion is correct.
I thought tahweed was main and only cause for jinns to leave hence confused why kufr and shirk would work but kinda makes more sense now
