Alhamdulillah looks like the works of Daniel Haqiqatou is paying off. Menk is another one who needs to come out and take back some of his pro qawm loot statements.
Thing with this so called OS and YQ apologies is they don't actually say opposite of what they did or said. They need to openly retract support for murtads like ilhan omar, apologies and distance themselves from pro lgbt groups and individuals they allied with, say they got it wrong when they said don't vote against lgbt bills.
This is part of their tawba, as they are public figured who did their stuff in the open they need to take it all back.
It's like me saying I honour and respect rasoolullah but invite qadiyanis or anti Muslims to my events.
Their recent navigating differences statement was also pretty bad and tbh so was the UK one in 2019 which unfortunately many of our scholars too signed.
Omer Suleiman has acknowledged his mistakes, in the video I posted above.
Yasir Qadhi from what I have seen seems to be trying to deflect from his mistakes by speaking out against the LGBT and arguing with their supporters on twitter.
The statement they released did not have too much wrong with it.
I know Daniel Haqiqatjou is not satisfied. Thinks it should be more harsh and direct.
From what I read the prime purpose of that document, is so that parents can use it to have their kids excluded from LGBT lessons.
But we should not be overly enamoured with any of these YouTube celebrities.
Omer Suleiman has a brand, YQ has a brand, and Daniel Haqiqatjou also has a brand of being a critic.
All three should be treated cautiously and not blindly followed.
YQ and Omer Suleimans recent efforts could be described as too little too late. And criticised for not enough contrition for the damage their beating around the bush caused in the past.
But at least they have finally entered the arena, and how they respond from here on out should determine a harsher critique.
Maybe you're and hope so. Time will tell. Between the two groups I guess I am more aligned with haqiqatou as his arguments seem more solid and in line with shariah.
Also even many kuffar are fed up with the alphabet gang and speaking out against them so doing so now isn't really seen being edgy or controversial but unfortunately past 15 years they have causes so much damage.
If we're not careful here in UK we'll end up same. Too many ulema here and duaat happy to sit on fence or play 'silence = hikmah' ' card. Gaandu community won't be happy with u just bein silent they want to impsoe their filth onto you fully
We should take what Is good that is coming out of America but be careful to be not too trusting.
We are in the age of celebrity. And is interesting that you will find people obsessively following individuals who are famous. Even students of knowledge.
Whilst the Imam Of their local mosque maybe more qualified. And might even be someone who has memorised Bukhari.
Have done extensive studies in sacred knowledge. People will not value that Imam but obsessively watch people high profiles on YouTube.
And it’s not just America in Pakistan for example Mufti Taqi Usmani is highly respected around the world. Yet the motivational type of Islamic speakers are more popular with the general population. WithIn Pakistan he is very under-appreciated.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
