Assalamu alaikum
I need some help. Are there any good articles or page that help refuting communist ideology?
It would be helpful if someone can give me information on that in shaa Allah.

Unfortunately since the downfall of communism. Most of the books refuting communist ideology are out of print.

The following book was written sometime in the 1950's by the Barelvi Sufi Scholar. Dr Fazlur Rahman Ansari.

"Called the communist challenge to Islam."

You can downliad PDF in the following link.

There are still many communists in India. Why are people attracted to it when it has fallen?
Are China and Russia not communist countries?
I see there are many youngsters attracted to it.
I was expecting a thread on that with good discussion like it happens in sunniforum on different topics. JazaakumAllahu khaira for the links

Lot of youngans go through communism phase from age of 15 to 25. It's the time when you don't have many responsibilities and living of mommy and daddy. It dies down once the reality of life hits them.

But the ruling party in kerala is a communist party. It is not just youngsters. Many states have communist party, some weak and some strong. There are good communists in Tamilnadu who speak against the oppression of Muslims. At the same time they are against religion too. I thought it would be good to have some discussion with these people.

My apologies..What I meant was the downfall of the Soviet Union. Or what was known as the USSR ( United Soviet Socialist Republic.) It was essentially a Russian run Communist empire.

The Soviet Union was run from Moscow Russia. But it was made up of 15 different states that they had colonised. When Soviet Union broke up in the 1990's the countries that had formed part of it all declared independence.
Countries like, Ukraine, Georgia, Lithuania, even historically muslim countries were overtaken by communists and became part of the Soviet Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgistan.
They conquered most of Central Asian but Soviet Union finally met defeat in Afghanistan which led to its downfall.

There were countries in East Europe who were communist but remained independent and where friends and allies of the Soviet Union. East Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Albania, Romania, Hungary, Czeckoslovakia and Yugoslavia. There were also communist countries allied to Soviet union in other parts of the world.

For several decades Soviet Union was a so-called Super Power that competed with America. They promoted Communist ideology all over the world.

When the Soviet Empire fell communism went into decline. Communist political ideology was viewed as a failure in practice.

Although there are still communists in Russia. The political system is no longer communist.

The Chinese had reforms, since the 1990's. Chinese is now a combination of Marxist-Capitalism. Rather then being exclusively Marxist.

Hope that helps Insha-Allah.

Communist/Marxist theory and philosophy appeals to people . Because they present the arguments that religions and belief in God are un-scientific. And religion causes division and war. So therefore there should be no religion.

The Class System, That is the Ruling wealthy Class, the Middle Class, The Working Class cause division and conflict so therefore there should be no class system. All private ownership of wealth and businesse should be banned. Etc. Health care, Education should ideally be free.

These kind of arguments appeal to people... The first time many students come across marxist type of political philospophies at university atleast here in the west.

Any ideology that rejects the Belief in ALLAH or a creator is absurd. And this absurdity led to communist states by and large failing. Or having to make political changes and compromise like the chinese.

India will naturally have a communism in some states when you have a rightwing hindu nationalist party in power, pseudo secular socialist party in opposition and cast based regional parties confined to their states. There's bound to be an alternative that's delusioned with right wing hindu bjp, pseudo secular congress and caste based regional parties.

Many communists and atheists in India come from families who have academic legacy in established liberal arts universities all over India.
