The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the European Union have suspended financing for projects in Afghanistan, and the United States froze $9 billion in Afghan foreign reserves held in New York. Yesterday the BBC went with an article "giving birth under the Taliban". It's an important subject but this is not something new and timing is everything.

Laurence Brun, the photographer who took the famous picture of 3 women wearing a mini-skirt in Kabul in 1972 is appalled by the way the picture has been manipulated since 2001. "I was walking in Kabul and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them because it was a complete exception. I am very saddened that my picture contributed to keep American soldiers in Afghanistan".

If even now people don't believe that Dajjal is pulling the strings of the kuffar from behind the scenes, nothing will ever convince them. Everything that is happening is characteristic of what he will do at a much larger scale once he emerges.

Dajjal is not a supernatural entity that exerts influence from the ghayb. We are seeing a gradual decline of human values (insaniyat) as the end of times approach. Dajjal will be let loose as a test at a time when the ground is fertile for his deceptions to succeed, when a majority of people are sufficiently conditioned to accept open falsehood as truth.

If Dajjal were behind the moves of the kuffar, then we would have to believe that it was Dajjal "pulling the strings behind the scenes" during all periods of great confusion in the past.

And Allah SWT knows best.

From what I have come across, there are two possible reasons for this: (I could be wrong)

1- The Ahle Hadith/Salafi movement has been active in Kunar province for a long time, and it seems that a lot of the population inclines towards it.

So the local population would have been agitated to see someone so anti-Salafi, in the governor house.

Other than that, the Taliban have recently made statements dissociating themselves from Salafis and Mamatis. But in this case they probably couldn't afford to lose support from a large segment of the population, in Kunar.

2- The governor allowed Mufti Nadeem to sit in the governor's seat. There are pictures of this too. I think this was taken as violation of rules or etiquettes hence the removal of the governor.

The Taliban have been making an effort to appear more lenient and not as conservative as they were before. Such as claiming to allow women to get educated etc.

Many people think that this is to appease the Western world. In my opinion, they are doing this to appease other Muslim countries especially Pakistan, and maybe to some extent neighboring or nearby non-Muslims states like China and Russia. So to gain support from them.

Another reason they seem to be making an effort to be more lenient, is to not lose support within Afghanistan. Because in the past 20 years the Afghan people were exposed to many "liberties" and western culture due to foreign occupation.

Quote:
There are three aspects of Dajjal:

1. The individual

2. A world wide social and cultural phenomenon

3. An unseen force.

The latter two aspects of Dajjal have been explained and outlined brilliantly by Ahmed Thomas in his book ‘Dajjal - The King Without Clothes.’ Through intense research, he has managed to write a brilliant account of scary facts that bring home the full weight of reality. He explains the social and cultural phenomenon as a system that is being prepared by the minions and followers of Dajjal, through which he will operate and spread his evil. The Unseen Force is defined as the supernatural beings, such as Djinns and UFO’s, who abduct and posses humans to further his cause. Contemporary books such as ‘Omen’ and ‘Body Snatchers’, paint a frightening image of possibilities.

www.inter-islam.org/faith/dajjal.htm Darul Uloom Bury (if I'm not mistaken)

Regardless of what you think of the second two aspects - Satan and his minions are prepping everyone for his arrival - to make it a smooth transition of power, it'll be a piece of cake for him.

If you want to discuss this further, open a new thread. This is not the place for it

Taliban really not making it easier for themselves, they promised alot on camera/interviews but went against all of this, is this permissable?

Six weeks on , it seems there was bust up in the big meeting they had, teh hardcore haqqanis (these are the ones wanted by the West for terrorism) slapped down Baradar (he is from the Doha party that negotiated with the West). Baradar proposed an inclusive gov with a more tolerant approach whilst the Haqqanis want a more hardcore , strict rules and less tolerance. After the punch up Baradar left for Kandar possible under house arrest. The talk before the big meeting was Baradar was to become Prime Minister/president, he did not get this and looks like his group were sidelined.

Im afraid its not looking too good for the common Afghan folks with Winter fast approaching, they have in power people who are very rigid and will run the country into the ground further.

What have they went against? Afghan economy for the last 20 years was propped up by aid money and that has stopped so how do you expect them to open everything up again in a month. Afghanistan's USD$9 billions reserves sitting in New York have been frozen by the Americans. They are being cash strapped and economically starved.

Talking about inclusive government. Why would they include guys who were involved in the previous government popped up the Americans.

Their cabinet is still expanding and more are being included from the various part of the country.

It was false news put out by saleh/ Massoud camp and pumped by the Indian IT cell.

If he was injured then how was he present and looking healthy in the cabinet meeting couple of days ago.

The whole rumor was started because he wasn't present in the meeting with the Qatar's deputy foreign minister as he had gone to Kandahar but then they have two deputy PMs so he's not expected to be present at all meetings.

Anas Haqqani was supposed to be injured in the fight as well but he's also looking fine ans healthy.

I don't think they will have time to keep disproving rumours all the time with video evidence as it would be waste of time but also security issue if travelling and they weren't fond of camera anyways.

BBC's Yalda Hakim is literally acting as a spokeswoman for Saleh so take anything on BBC was pinch of salt.

The article in the Guardian about Taliban stopping High School education for Girls had also turned out to be false so even they are involved in the propaganda.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar wasn't named PM by the Taliban so how was he expected to become one. Just because media said so does not make it a formal announcement. Taliban leaders have been very reclusive during the war and just because some were more visible during the last few years did not automatically make them the most senior leaders. In the first Taliban government before the American invasion, Mullah Hasan Akhund had served as the deputy foreign minister and deputy prime minister. Not their fault that media had forgotten his name and acted all shocked when his name was announced.

If the Haqqanis are jostling for power in the Afghan government, it seems to indicate that Pakistan is trying to exert an effect in the affairs of Afghanistan. If the Taliban are trying to project a more moderate image for the global community, they cannot have members of the Haqqani group appearing in very prominent roles. The faction of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar seems not to be too keen on seeing Pakistani interference in their governance. Afghan Taliban are grateful to Pakistan for their assistance, but do not want to be seen as a proxy state of Pakistan, helping to advance Pakistan's strategic interests in the area. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar (and Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef before him) have experienced firsthand the machinations of a section of the Pakistani establishment turning against them when push comes to shove, so their stand is apparently justified. Taliban spokespersons have already categorically stated that Afghanistan will not shelter insurgent or terrorist groups active in the area.
