After my GCSES, I would like to try become an alim. I haven’t told anyone about this. Where do I go to become one? I live in the UK. Can I also have an “English” job aswell? (I’m not 16 yet)

There are full time boarding darul ulooms, full time non boarding darul ulooms and evening part time darul ulooms.

Where do you live and from the above which option are you looking for?

What do you mean by an english job and when do you want to start this english job?

You can do any job you want as long as the company isn't involved in anything Haram or require you to commit any Haraam.

In Midlands you have multiple options in Birmingham and Leicester. Are these an option for you?

I live on the outskirts of Birmingham - it’s technically not even Birmingham. I ideally don’t want to do residential.

I don’t mind full time if that is better. But I don’t want residential though.

I am not an alim.

I only know of as suffa in Birmingham so can only recommend them for full time non residential alim course.

You can do ifta after completing the alim course.

Alim course is not recognised as a degree in the UK so you will not be eligible for jobs that require an undergraduate degree unless they are looking for someone that has studied islamic theology in a traditional setting like a darul uloom.

There is The Markfield Institute of Higher Education in Leicestershire that lets you skip the first year of their 3 year bachelor's degree in islamic studies.

Recognised bachelor's degree will open many doors in the job market.

Not far from Birmingham if you can drive. Assuming you will have a car by the time you finish studying at as suffa.
