A person who had a close relationship with Mufti Zar Wali Khan (R.A) shared his experience after Mufti sahab's death. This person used to write and admire poetry, and Mufti sahab himself also appreciated poetry. Mufti sahab once asked this person what his favorite pieces of poetry were. This person recited some couplets which basically are a complaint to Allah swt about one's hardships in life and that Allah Ta'ala does not listen to my Duas.

Upon hearing this, Mufti sahab went into deep thought and then advised the person:
" The more someone complains to Allah, the more Allah gives him a reason to complain. And the more someone expresses thankfulness to Allah, the more Allah blesses him".

Furthermore, Mufti sahab told this particular person to utilize his energy and talent to write poetry in praise of Allah swt.

This person goes on to say that this was a life changing moment not only for me but my entire family. My attitude changed and became more grateful and I even wrote poetry praising Allah swt. And that Allah swt has blessed me tremendously in life.
