I know that wearing niqab is better than wearing hijab only and its a good thing to do but one thing I was always wondering was how do woman who wear niqab get married if the guy cant see how she looks?

Well niqab is removed and the face is shown when her perspective husband comes to see her like in any other arranged marriage.

He wouldn't. Its done tbrough arranged marriage. Family send or receive proposal. Background checks are done. Meeting is arranged at the girls house. The girl and the prospective husband would see and talk to each other briefly. Few days later say yes or no to the engagement.

Niqab covers the face so to marry a woman solely based on her face is pretty superficial.

A woman is a lot more then just a "pretty face". When marrying you need to look at her family, her religion, her likes/dislikes, her attitude, her nature and "also her looks".

She is not a car which you drool over...

Many people look at the face and get infatuated and pay a heavy price for it for the rest of their lives.

All praise be to Allah Ta'ala who has protected you from making this mistake, when marrying you need to look at her in entirety, she is a person which is much more then "her face"

One of the most important functions that the niqaab serves is that a man is placing his trust solely on Allah and the Sunnah of His Rasool (saw) when marrying a woman he hasn't seen. This places more emphasis on the more important qualities of a woman rather than a genetic trait. The genetic trait is a gift of Allah, some will have it, some won't. The other life-building qualities are acquired through treading the right path. So you will judge that any woman possessing those qualities is worthy of marriage because she has gone through the paces of life and gone through it the right way.

Yes, I think it does. There are bayans of Mufti Tariq Masood where he talks about this. The point here is that such an issue should not be considered a valid deal-breaker. The allowance of seeing her in the presence of elders is only possible because Shariah doesn't delude people about the fitrah of humans. Men, in particular, are visual creatures and honestly every young boy wants to marry the prettiest girl in the world. So there definitely is room for that, as far as my knowledge is, but it is recommended to not make it the ONLY criteria for the choice or even the top criteria, for that matter.
