I've always had an issue with this quote. It's a depressing quote although it's a quote to cope with loss.

If the quote was "All things come to an end" I would have no issues. Too many wrong and negative implications on saying "all good things come to an end"

If something comes to an end, does that mean it was good? If something is good, does it mean it'll end? The mind fights the quote.

All things come to an end because everything has an expiry date from wealth, health, life, clothes even materialistic things, everything has an end life. Seems like the ex sunniforum members benefitted from the forum, hope members continue to benefit from the Knowledge gained from the forum.

A life of piety is a good thing. Yet it ends. Does that mean the life of piety wasn't a good thing?

Unless you're one of those weirdos who believes the piety will continue to bring you even more good after death, then you could say some good things don't really end. Hence a "true" good thing is one that doesn't really end.

Comes from Star Trek

When Spock looks at "Eden" and says "All good things must end" or something like that i.e. part of Atheistic thinking that even "Jannah will not be permanent"

This is from my memory and anyone born after 1980s wouldn't know that...

Google to get the right version of course but it is a very famous saying from Spock.

P.S: But it is now a common saying that you have used it in the right context

What’s so weird about life of piety, if accepted by Allah, continuing to benefit someone , after they have passed away from this abode/phase?

If something comes to an end does that mean it was good.?

Not necessarily its all in the eye of the beholder. often our perceptions are clouded we perceive what is bad to be good and good to be bad.

Maybe the question should be why we only see the good in things once confronted by the loss of of the given things.?

We were trying to transfer some of those threads when it looked like the forum might disappear. But unfortunately it closed abruptly so we was unable to complete the mission.

Here is one of those Epic Sunniforum threads...
