And do not pray [the funeral prayer, O Muhammad], over any of them who has died - ever - or stand at his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient. [Quran 9:84]

This is a clear command from Allah yet some Muslims believe it is an act of reward to go against it! Such ignorance and arrogance. These people should fear for their iman instead of rejoicing over their hypocrisy.

People always ask, what is #Kashmiriyat? Live example is from Kaloosa village in #Bandipora, where Muslim neighbourhood perform last rites of an elderly #KashmiriPandit woman on Thursday according to her religion.

This is just one of the reasons why we must stay as distant from the kuffar as possible. Not just physically, but also emotionally and mentally as well.

Some ulama have allowed joining the funeral procession of kuffar (with conditions), but no where is it allowed to perform funeral rites and burial.

I don't know anything about this. All I know is an indian tablighi who I know of was retweeting this in approval.

Why is it that many Indian Muslims are so desperate to get some sort of approval and acceptance from the dirty idol worshippers of all people!

I used to hear stories that in India they worship male genitals and drink cow urine. I thought they were just stories until I visited India for myself. For those that don't know, there are little shrines dotted around India in random places. Some shrines contain stone carvings of male genitals that they worship and decorate with roses etc. And of course drinking urine is well know. They have stark naked 'holy' men who writhe about in the mud and dust. Crazy, vile people!

Ganga–Jamuni Tehzeeb, also spelled as Ganga-Jamni Tehzeeb, is the culture of the central plains of northern India, especially the doab region of Ganges and Yamuna rivers, that is a syncretic fusion of Hindu cultural elements with Muslim religious elements.

Ganga–Jamuni Tehzeeb is just a saying. Doesn't mean much. The liberal tabka bangs on about it when communal incident happens but us religious tabka shouldn't be advocating it. It's used very liberally to whitewash past hindutva crimes. Makes it seem like we had Ganga–Jamuni Tehzeeb from till 2014 and only under BJP it has eroded but it was never there to begin with.

The funeral rights are not performed by the Muslims. They simply carry the deceased to the crematorium and the staff there takes over for the last rights.

They do this because no one else from the community comes forward to carry the deceased away from their home to the crematorium.

The Muslim neighbours then joined hands to carry out all the formalities for the deceased woman''s last rites, in line with the cremation practices of Kashmiri Pandits. They set up the cremation pyre and carried the body for the final journey with full rituals.

I just read the tweets so I saw why they did it this time.

Your posts suggests that it's done.

Or did you meam

So is it a one off incident or a ceremony they take part in regardless of the Lockdown?

Or do those Hindu consider the deceased to be impure (naajis) to be carried or non mahram.....?

That's a serious question and no pun intended!

This post has been reported. It could be due to breaking rules or something as simple as bad use of bbcodes which breaks the page format. We will attend to this soon.

A number of such incidents have happened recently, especially in rural areas. Hindu relatives and neighbors have been reluctant to perform the last rites of their deceased due to the pandemic and fear of being infected by the deceased.

Kashmir, being Muslim dominated, has fewer crematoria, so there is a good chance that there was no one staffing them, which is why the local Muslims performed the last rites.

This is where the problem lies. Muslims are not allowed to perform the last rites of a mushrik/kafir. Maybe the people did not know. But there are knowledable Muslims who are supporting this and expressing pride over it. This is a big problem.

There have been hundreds of fake accounts created on twitter over the last few years. Purporting to be from both Indian and Kashmiri muslims. And praising Modi and BJP.

I would take anything said on tweeter with a pinch of salt.

However the lack of religious education in rural areas is astonishing. All kinds of rituals, superstitions and innovations carried out by people thinking they are doing something Islamic.

If the above story is true than one could excuse the jaahil muslims for thinking they were doing something Islamic and fulfilling the rights of the neighbour. The problem is those people who are educated about the deen who should know better supporting it out of some sort of inferiority complex.
