How to chose when there is difference of opinion among Ulema?

Shaykh replies to this:
1. What will you do when there is difference of opinion in doctors.
We chose the senior among them.
2. What is criteria of seniority?
He has served under a senior doctor. What is is his service period. He has cured a large number of patients.

Similarly when there is difference of opinion among ulema,
1. we see whose student or follower is he.
2. For how much time is he serving deen, how much is the ummah got benefited from him.
3. How many students he has, how are his students and followers.

If an ordinary muslims doesn't have that kind of a knowledge, start analyzing both the parties. And keep the above criteria in mind.

Hazrat Thanvi RH was superior to Hazrat Madni RH as per above guidelines. We in India chose to side with Hazrat Madni RH and accepted the theory of composite nationalism and rejected the two nation theory.

Life is full of contradictions.

The story you posted about Mufti Shaafi رحمه الله is about his Taqwa. Not about is treatment towards non Muslims. He رحمه الله would have done the same thing if the attendant was a Muslim.

Stop confusing people.

The last sentence in that post was. The money would have reached the British ruler. And ulema e haq were on war with the British invaders.

But that did not stop Mufti sahib being honest.

The message is; Treat equally even if the party is a non-Muslim enemy.

It doesn't matter whether the ruler is Modi, Parvez Musharraf or Zia ul haq.... or Mufti Taqi Usmani db becomes the PM, we shall continue to hold on to our usools.

Another advice from Mufti Shafi Sahib RA

Mufti Taqi Usmani DB compiled a book correcting other group. He presented this book to his father Mufti Shafi Sahib RA. After reviewing the book, Mufti Shafi sahib told, “If your intention is to get appreciation from your own people, then you have achieved it. If your intention is to correct others, you have failed, because they will never read it, because, for them you are an opponent……"

Also he said " I advice you that before you speak a word, think that you have to prove it before a judge backed with evidences. If not here, you must prove it in Aakhirah”

Lesson: Build good relation with masses, else; even most authentic evidence is rejected:
